Chapter 1706: Chapter 1707: The Hatefulness of Xiang Yu

"Stop." Everyone around became tense when they saw Xiang Yu suddenly move.
After all, Ryan was still here. If Ryan were killed by Xiang Yu at their base, the rebels would be in uproar.
Xiang Yu stepped to the side, swiftly grabbing a handgun from one of them.
The man was shocked, reaching out to strike Xiang Yu, but Xiang Yu quickly stepped back.
Xiang Yu’s movement was unexpected, fluid, and when he stood in front of Ryan, he already had a gun in hand.
Ryan was secretly surprised. He had investigated Xiang Yu and knew he was skilled, but he didn’t expect him to be this swift.
"What do you want?" Ryan said defensively.
"Your lousy gun has no bullets. How am I supposed to kill him?" Xiang Yu looked at Ryan with some disdain.
"I’ll help you kill him now." Xiang Yu raised his hand and directly shot Xiao Wu.
"Stop." Ryan hadn’t even finished his sentence when Xiao Wu was already dead.
"What did you just say?" Xiang Yu asked puzzled.
Ryan was so angry his lungs were about to explode. He just wanted to test Xiang Yu and his team and hadn’t nned on actually having Xiao Wu killed.
After all, Xiao Wu was his brother, and there were still many things he wanted to ask. Now it was toote, as Xiang Yu had just killed him.
"I didn’t say anything." Ryan was filled with anger, then turned and walked outside.
Xiang Yu casually tossed the gun back to the man from before.
"What did he say just now?" Xiang Yu asked Wang Qian and Scar, though his voice wasn’t loud, it clearly reached Ryan’s ears in the front.
Ryan really wanted to have his men chop Xiang Yu up, but there were still many things he needed from Xiang Yu, and he didn’t want to suffer losses.
Back in the meeting room, Ryan’s face no longer wore the previous cheerful smile.
"You two better decide quickly, do you want to cooperate with us or not?" Ryan spoke icily.
"We certainly want to cooperate, but we haven’te up with the terms of our cooperation with you yet." Xiang Yu replied with a sly smile.
"I’ll give you two days, think it over and let me know." After Ryan finished speaking, he stood and walked outside.
Scar hastily stood and followed him out. Now, they were cooperating with each other, and Ryan hadn’t restricted Scar’s freedom.
Scar came here of his own ord, and now he had achieved his goal.
After they left, only Xiang Yu and Wang Qian remained in the meeting room.
"Are you really going to work with him?" Wang Qian asked with a frown, confused.
The Wolf Fang organization wasrge, but from its inception, it had a rule to never interfere with the politics of any country.
If they worked with the other side now, it would mean aiding the rebels and viting Wolf Fang’s rules.
"Of course, this is such a good opportunity for growth. How can we not seize it?" Xiang Yu replied with a nonchnt smile.
"I’m serious. These people are not good people, they im to be allied forces, but they were bandits before and likely have ties to terrorist organizations. Many past bombings were secretly orchestrated by them." Wang Qian said angrily.
"Their identity doesn’t concern me. Now that we’re captured by them, we have to cooperate. We must prioritize staying alive." Xiang Yu said.
Ryan had already made up his mind when he secretly captured them. If Xiang Yu and Wang Qian did not cooperate, he would directly kill them.
Wang Qian nodded, saying, "Now we have to find a way to escape."
After a moment of silence, Wang Qian raised her head and asked, "Could it be that something happened to Meng Hu? Otherwise, he should be here."
Xiang Yu did not speak; he knew about Meng Hu’s situation better than anyone.
Meng Hu wanted to participate in the Clover’s internal power struggle and ended up being identally blown up by Xiang Yu.
"Ahem, let’s go back and rest for a bit." Xiang Yu stood up and said.
Wang Qian’s face was somber; she looked at Xiang Yu with disdain and said, "You’re just thinking about your little beauty, aren’t you?"
Wang Qian snorted coldly after speaking and walked out, while others waited outside with guns.
Xiang Yu just shook his head and smiled without saying much, and also walked outside.
At that moment, in another room, Ryan was fuming; Xiang Yu had killed Xiao Wu, leaving him with asting rage.
"Report." Someone called from outside.
"Get out!" Ryan shouted.
The person: "..."
Realizing his loss ofposure, Ryan said, "Come in, what is it?"
"We have some leads on Meng Hu." The person reported.
When Ryan heard it was about Meng Hu, he took a deep breath and sat down.
Though he and Meng Hu operated differently, they belonged to the same system, working towards amon goal.
Now that Meng Hu had suddenly disappeared, he worried that **** might be acting against them.
"Speak." Ryan said, calming down.
"Earlier, he was involved in the Clover matter, and a few days ago Clover was annihted by someone. We suspect he was also killed. At the explosion site, we found some of Meng Hu’s remains." The person said.
"Are you certain?" Ryan asked.
"Very certain." The person replied firmly.
Ryan nodded, saying, "Understood. You may leave now."
Since Meng Hu had died due to Clover’s internal conflict, Ryan felt relieved; it showed the target was not their system.
He discussed with his superiors, and if Meng Hu was dead, they would surely send someone else to manage the broader situation.
This matter didn’t worry him much. If Ryan and the others acted, the Menghu Mercenary Corps would certainly assist without needing to use tactics like those used on Xiang Yu.
Lying on the office chair, Ryan couldn’t help butugh as he nned for the future. Over the years, their forces had grown significantly. If they seeded, the small state would be their allied forces’ territory.
Rumus, on the other hand, was back at the venue, seated in his car.
His return wasn’t much noticed; people continued their own affairs.
This time, Rumus didn’t rush to sit in front but quietly took a seat at the back.
Variousmanders were freely expressing their views.
Yet everyone agreed on one thing: to carry out nket bombings on suspicious ces, then dispatch troops to clean up afterward.
Rumus felt disappointed. Sometimes having more people was not an advantage; it only resulted in more bad proposals.
It seemed they had indeed grown toocent.
**** didn’t take the rebel army seriously. In their view, as long as they found the hiding spot, they could easily send a team to eliminate them.
This was a grave mistake of underestimating the enemy.
"I have a different opinion." Unable to hold back any longer, Rumus spoke up.
Everyone’s attention focused on Rumus, and upon seeing it was him, they sighed and shook their heads. This kid really had no shame...
