Rowena’s face turned pale the moment she heard it. She leaped to her feet, “What? Is this true?”
“Indeed, Wanda confessed herself,” that omega replied.
Rowena sat back down and waved her hand, “Go out and keep an eye on them.
“Yes, Luna Rowena!” The omega exited.
Winslow’s breeder, after hearing the news, looked uneasy and said, “What are we going to do? Her actions will implicate the pack.”
Rowena was so angry that her lips trembled. It took her a while to calm down. “So vicious. Lycan Erasmus won’t retain her title. She’ll pay for what she’s done.”
Winslow’s beta, Josh, standing outside the door, walked in and said, “Hazel, there’s no use in panicking. Madison’s guilt is pretty much set in stone. The Ministry of Justice is just going through the motions to uncover any aplices; even if they don’t find anyone behind it, they have to follow protocol.”
Josh paused and continued, “Since Madison’s daughter is my mate, being implicated is inevitable. But today Gamma Adide only called out Winslow and Wanda for questioning. Clearly, she’s not nning a full–scale investigation, or else even Wanda’s omegas would be called in for interrogation.”
Hazel sighed, “I just can’t fathom it. Madison already had such a prestigious position. Why would she plot treason?”
“Plus, those breeders in her manor–over a hundred of them, most dead, and not a single male infant surviving. How could her heart be so cold?”
Rowena felt a chill run through her.
She thought Madison’s actions were just too ruthless. Even just thinking about it was terrifying.
She instructed Josh, “Go gather the people around Wanda and ask if they’ve been mistreated by her.”

Josh hesitated but saw Rowena’s determined look.

He could only respond. “A lot of the people around Wanda have already left. Officially, they were fired, but I reckon they didn’t meet a good end.”
“Investigate! We’ve always turned a blind eye to her antics and her entourage, knowing she liked to cause trouble but never expecting her to be so heartless.”
“Whether those attendants were fired or harmed by her, someone must know the truth. Those who did her bidding surely have the inside story,” Rowena said gravely.
Hazel, who had been by Rowena’s side all along, understood her thoughts well.
Rowena was likely considering dissolving the mating bond between Winslow and Wanda.
Hazel also calmed down and added, “Also, ask Sabrina. She’s always been around Wanda since she arrived and probably knows a lot.”
Judging by the results of the external interrogations, their pack would be implicated to some
extent.
If word got out and the public started gossiping and condemning, it would be disastrous.
Those attendants who had been mistreated by Wanda or fired by her would surely harbor
resentment.
If they spread the word, the consequences would be unimaginable.
So now, it was crucial to conduct an internal investigation within the pack. If there were any who had been harshly treated by Wanda, they needed to be properlypensated to prevent the situation from escting.
Rowena, in frustration, pped the armrest. “I’m not in good health. Managing the pack has already be a strain. I thought Wanda, despite her mischief, wouldn’t dare go too far. I never expected her to be so ruthless. I was too careless.”
Josh quickly consoled her, “Don’t be angry. Let’s first find out where those fired attendants have gone and try to bring them back. As for the others who were mistreated<i>, </ipensating them ordingly should suffice.”
Hazel chimed in, “Beta Josh’s right. You shouldn’t me yourself. The attendants‘ affiliation wasn’t with our pack to begin with. This isn’t your fault.”
Rowena let out a heavy sigh. “It’s really hard to know someone’s true nature! I never expected so many hidden scandals in Madison’s manor. It’s just too vicious.”

“Chances are, what we know now is just the tip of the iceberg. And most of these things probably won’te to light, considering the impact on the royal family’s reputation.”
In the living room, Adide’s questioning was alsoing to an end. She was preparing to leave with her team.
Winslow was still in a daze.
He had only known Wanda to be domineering and willful, never imagining her to be so cruel.
Just now, Wanda had defended herself, saying she merely “whipped a few dogs.”
In her eyes, the lives of those people in Madison’s manor were really as worthless as straw.
Moreover, Wanda had been secretly running businesses like gold jewelry stores and clothing shops.
The money she made from these ventures, she could only keep a small portion of; most of it went to Madison.
What Madison used that money for was obvious–buying weapons.
If these things reached Lycan Erasmus’s ears, Winslow knew he would likely be implicated as well.
After Adide left, Winslow, after being dazed for a long time, slowly came to his senses. His eyes bloodshot, he grabbed Wanda by the cor and pped her hard across the face.
