Novel Male 588

    Third Person’s POV

Luna Sadi wasn’t entirely sure if Germain was involved in the treason, but she had a hunch he was hiding something from her.

Recalling that night still sent a shiver down her spine.

She hesitated and said, “Alpha Germain, since Madison is suspected of treason, it’s better for us not to meddle.”

Germain’s expression darkened slightly, and he said coolly, “Precisely because it’s a grave act of treason that we need to inquire. After all, she was raised by Pandora and is my biological sister. Should there be any implications for us, it’s better to be prepared.”

Reluctantly, Sadi agreed, “Alright, I’ll pay a visit today.”

Germain reminded her again, “Remember, don’t ask outright–be subtle and indirect.”

    “Yes, I understand,” Sadi replied.

After Germain entered the pce, Sadi, however, dyed her visit to Paisley.

She knew this was an opportunity to ingratiate herself with Germain and overshadow Maya, yet she was also aware that this was far from a pleasant task.

Her cousin Paisley had always been disdainful and particrly hostile toward her.

Previous encounters had been frosty, with Paisley barely acknowledging her existence.

Thus, despite promising Germain, she had no intention of seeking out Paisley.

Before Germain went to the pce, he had naturallymunicated with Maya.

Maya was also on edge, terrified that Madison might implicate the Blue Abyss Pack.

She was desperate for information and, seeing that Sadi hadn’t left by three in the afternoon, took the initiative to confront her.

However, the omega informed her that Sadi was taking a nap.

Enraged, Maya instructed the omega to wake her, stating that Alpha Germain wished to know why she hadn’t yet visited Paisley.

Sadi was rudely awakened from her slumber and was none too pleased.

Yet, upon learning that Germain had sent word, she reluctantly got up.

As soon as Maya entered the room, she demanded, “Why haven’t you left yet? Alpha Germain has sent someone to inquire.”

Sadi replied curtly, “Paisley isn’t one to sit idly by. With such a massive case under the Ministry of Justice’s jurisdiction, she must be preupied. I’m likely to miss her if I visit during the day. I’ll go first thing tomorrow.”

Maya grew even more anxious upon hearing this. “Alpha Germain asked you to go today. How can you postpone it until tomorrow? The situation is fluid–knowing something early orte can lead to drastically different oues.”

Sadi nced at her and said, “No matter how the situation changes, what does it have to do with us? We’re not implicated. We’re merely gathering information, not rushing to save lives. Besides, haven’t I told you that Paisley is usually not in the pack during the day?”

Seeing Sadi’s nonchnt attitude and unable to disclose the true urgency, Maya could only urge, “How do you know she’s not there if you don’t visit? At least make an appearance to

report back to Alpha Germain and avoid his wrath.”

Sadi coldly retorted, “Germain and I are mates. There’s no room for me between us. But if this matters to him, I’ll prioritize it. Have the carriage prepared–I’ll leave now.”

Although irritated by Sadi’s disdain, Maya hurriedly arranged the carriage upon hearing she would depart.

However, as Sadi stepped outside, she was met with Adide and arge contingent from the Capital Guard.

Initially unrecognized, Sadi scrutinized the group and eventually identified Adide.

Apanied by Ellen and over a dozen Capital Guards, Adide had arrived with great fanfare.

Given the uing interrogations of nobility, such a disy was necessary to send a message to all factions and packs.

If she made such a show even for the Blue Abyss Pack, then if she didn’t do the same for others, it would be considered showing them respect.

This way, not only would she avoid offending them, but she might even win their gratitude.

Ellen stepped forward and announced, “By order of Lycan Erasmus, the Capital Guard is assisting the Ministry of Justice in investigating Madison’s treason. We have questions for Luna Sadi and Maya.”

Confused, Sadi insisted, “Why inquire about treason here? We have nothing to say. Leave now.”

A chill crept into Adide’s voice. “Is Luna Sadi defying Lycan Erasmus’s orders?”

Maya rushed out, her face pale with fear.

She quickly ushered them in, saying, “If it’s by Lycan Erasmus’smand, please doe in.”

Recognizing Adide in her uniform, Maya forced a smile to ease the tension.

She might not know about other news, but she was aware that Adide had been appointedmander.

“Hello, Gamma Adide.” She smiled to ease the tension, then turned and instructed, “Bring out the two youngdies and Crispin.”

Crispin was born to one of Germain’s

    omega maids.

Since that omega maidter passed away, Crispin had been raised by thete Sidney.

Maya weed Adide and the guards inside to avoid drawing attention and sparking

    rumors.

She summoned Ca, Liz, and Crispin, hoping their presence would persuade Adide to go easy on their pack.
