The conversation with Lycan Erasmus hadn’t been quiet, so Fabian had likely heard most of it.
Lance cast him a pleading nce, and Fabian bowed slightly, saying, “Farewell, Alpha Lance.”
After Lance left, Fabian entered the room and announced, “The royal meeting starts in thirty minutes. I’m here to help you change into your formal attire.”
“Very well, just do it here,” Lycan Erasmus said, waving his hand.
Fabian exited and ordered the omega servants, “Bring in the formal attire and the golden military cap. Lycan Erasmus is about to change.”
Soon, attendants filed in with the garments and cap.
Fabian dismissed the others and helped Lycan Erasmus change.
Though Lycan Erasmus’s anger hadn’t fully subsided, it had eased since the initial shock.
He looked at Fabian and asked, “You’re wondering why I’m putting Adide in charge of the Ironthorn Legion, aren’t you?”
Fabian, adjusting the uniform’s embroidery, replied, “Your wisdom is unmatched. Your decisions are well–considered.”
Lycan Erasmus spread his arms for Fabian to fix the sleeves and said tly, “Why do Madison rebelled? What would she gain by overthrowing me?”

“She’s misguided. You’ve always treated her well,” Fabian said.
“Even Madison, thest person I’d expect to rebel, was in on it. Who can I trust now?” Lycan Erasmus’s voice still carried anger as he adjusted his sleeves.
“But technically, the ckthorn Pack isn’t involved in this,” Fabian added.
“Of course not. That’s why Lance would lure people into Madison’s mansion,” Lycan Erasmus said, his handsome face lit by the room’s light.
He frowned and said, “I don’t doubt him, but better safe than sorry. If someone else starts a

rebellion and he gets ambitious, with his capabilities, he might just seed.”

“So you’re letting Luna Adide takemand of the Ironthorn Legion, giving her real power? Isn’t that indirectly giving Lance power too?” Fabian asked, puzzled.
Lycan Erasmus shook his head, his gaze turning cold. “Most of the Ironthorn Legion’s wolf warriors were handpicked by Alpha Lance. They’re all loyal to him.”
“Though he now holds a position in the Ministry of Justice and no longer manages the Ironthorn Legion, if he gives an order, everyone except my personal guards would still obey him,” Lycan Erasmus exined.
Fabian’s eyes widened in realization.
“So you’re going to officially hand over the Ironthorn Legion to them?”
Lycan Erasmus sneered, “If that were all, it’d be pointless. Do you think she has no ambition just because she’s a she–wolf? Adide returned from battle with real achievements but was confined to managing the ckthorn Pack’s affairs.”
“She’s exceptionally capable, with the support of many wolf packs from the Shadow Peaks and as Alpha Bentley’s daughter. While the Alpha Bentley legacy will be inherited by Cedric, she musty the foundation.”
“Her love for Cedric will drive her to assert herself and take firm control of the Ironthorn Legion. A smart she–wolf won’t rely on a he–wolf. Once she tastes ambition, she’ll bnce Lance’s power.”
Fabian nodded. “You think she values power over Lance?”
Lycan Erasmus straightened his military cap, exuding authority. “Maybe not now, but what if she does? I’ll give her the chance to try and make waves.”
“Once she experiences the thrill of power, she won’t stay behind Lance. Even as Lycan Luna, she’ll prefer real authority.”
“Besides, Lance has shown devotion, but her feelings might not run as deep. A she–wolf’s ambition depends on her resolve. Her remarkable achievements in capturing Frostbite Town and Darkw Town prove she’s decisive.”
“A she–wolf like her shouldn’t hide behind a he–wolf. She should step forward and take on more significant roles.”
“She’lle around in time. If Lance has no ulterior motives, promoting Adide is wise- she’ll be a sharp tool against rebels.”

Once dressed, Lycan Erasmus sat and added, “The Bentley family is known for loyalty. Adide won’t disappoint me, right?”
“Absolutely,” Fabian said with a smile. “Luna Adide will never let you down.”
Fabian turned to leave, saying, “I’ll have breakfast prepared. Today’s royal meeting will likelyst all day.”
After exiting, Fabian sighed.
If Lycan Erasmus truly wanted to empower Luna Adide, he should have done it sooner.
The timing now, beyond Lycan Erasmus’s stated reasons, clearly served another purpose–to have Luna Adide investigate the rebels.
