Chapter 94

Zachary heard Shawn''s arrogant voice when he stepped out of the office.

"You think you can look down on me just because you''re an intern and are clinging to the deputy manager? I''m telling you, as long as I''m still here at Yel Corporation and in the marketing department, you''ll never get promoted!"

He followed the sound and saw Shawn standing beside y''s workstation, looking down at the visibly flustered y.

y gritted his teeth and shouted, "Thispany isn''t your family business! Whether I get promoted depends on my work performance and attitude, not your say-so!"

"Hahaha..." Shawnughed loudly in response. "Have you gone stupid from studying? How will you get promoted if I don''t sign the promotion review? You clueless idiot! You don''t even understand the workce rules yet. Do you think you can make it here?"

    He insulted y without reservation.

y''s face turned red with anger, but he had noeback.

At that moment, one of Shawn''s subordinates noticed Zachary stepping out of the office and nudged him.

He turned to Zachary, grinned mockingly, and began to walk toward the elevator with his subordinates.

Zachary didn''t intervene. Instead, he walked over to y.

Gently patting y''s shoulder, Zachary reassured him, "Don''t take his words to heart. Just focus on your work. Whether you get promoted isn''t just up to him!"

y''s expression softened when he heard this, and he nodded earnestly. "Okay, Zachary! I''ll work hard!"

"I believe in you!" Zachary smiled and headed toward the elevator.

Just as the elevator doors were about to close, Shawn quickly pressed the close button upon seeing him approach.

"Childish!" He frowned at Shawn''s behavior, feeling a sense of exasperation.

To him, Shawn was a small fry. He had never taken it seriously.

After leaving thepany, he headed toward his rental apartment when he heard hurried footsteps behind him.

"Zac, why are you walking so fast? Wait for me!"

    It was Anya''s voice.

Momentster, he saw her catching up, out of breath. She was wearing high heels and carrying a handbag, and her expression was slightly resentful.

    "What''s up?" Zachary asked, puzzled.

"Nothing much. I just didn''t feel like cooking and thought I''de over and grab some food. Am I not wee?"

She pouted and continued, "You promised I could drop by anytime for a meal. Are you trying to backtrack now?"

He chuckled. "Of course not! Just give me a heads-up next time. I don''t want to catch Molly off guard."

Anya smiled. "It''s fine! I''m on a diet, so I don''t eat much anyway!"

"Diet? You''re not even overweight. You don''t need to diet!"

    Zachary sized her up skeptically.

Anya''s figure was just right. She had a genuinely perfect physique.

"Really? You think my figure is good?"

Her eyes brightened as she spun around yfully before him, eagerly awaiting his response.

He nodded slightly. "Yeah, your figure is great. You don''t need to go on a diet."

Her cheeks flushed pink, and she asked nervously, "So, do you like my figure?"

Before Zachary could answer, a red Aston Martin pulled up to the curb.

The door opened, and a middle-aged man, appearing to be in his 30s a 40s, stepped out. He wore a pair of gold-rimmed sses and an expensive, tailor-made casual suit, exuding an air of affluence

With a faint smile and a luxury watch adorning his wrist, he gazed at

    vya

    stood beside her.
