Chapter 76

Anya had thought about the countless possible reasons Zachary might''ve said, but she had never expected this was how he would put it.

"You''re showing bias, Mr. Lloyd. How am I strong? How do you figure that I don''t have anyone to look after and protect me?" Anya was pissed off. She deliberately distanced herself from Zachary because of what happened with Ellen.

To her surprise, Zachary didn''t take the initiative to look for her. He even gave her the cold shoulder.

At first, Anya was upset with him. After she did some investigation, however, she realized that Ellen had never seen Zachary again after their previous encounter. That made her feel much better.

Yesterday, Anya even thought about making things easier for Zachary by taking the initiative and looking for him today. Last night, however, he asked her to give support to anotherdy''s livestream.

Anya immediately realized that another love rival had shown up and found Zachary. With that said, she didn''t think too much of it because he said it was his younger sister.

Anya wanted to feel at ease. So, she deliberately posed the question. In the end, she got an answer that made her blood boil. Then, she flew into a rage when she learned that Zachary was already living together with a girl named Molly.

How could Zachary have done that? Did he find Anya ugly? Was it because she didn''t have a curvaceous figure?

Anya felt very sorry for herself when she thought about the special treatment Zachary showed to Molly. It wasn''t easy for her to fall in love with a man. As fate would have it, however, he had no feelings for her.

Anya had already taken the initiative to win Zachary''s heart, but he just kept rejecting her on several asions. She couldn''t help but wonder if she just wasn''t attractive enough.

The capper came when Zachary exined his actions by saying that Molly was a pitiful girl who needed someone to look after and protect.

"Knock it off, Anya!" Zachary sighed helplessly as he reached out and rubbed Anya''s head. She swatted his hand away and turned around sulkily.

For a moment there, Zachary had no idea what he could''ve done. So, he simply walked toward the building Anya followed him closely, the way a disgruntled housewife would her husband. It wasn''t as if she hadn''t thought about leaving. However, she wouldn''t have a chance she did.

Anya had to assert her dominance and make the pretentious homewrecker back

the heck off. If that failed, then she would pay Molly off and ask thetter to leave Zachary alone.

    Anya and Zachary entered the

elevator. She was pouting, but she still looked adorable. She didn''tpose herself until he unlocked the door with a key. It was important for her to maintain the superior and aloof impression she had always portrayed herself in.

Molly heard the sound of the door opening. She continued to cut the vegetables as she spoke. "I still have to make another dish, Zac. Go ahead and take a bath first."

She wore a blue apron and tied her hair up, looking every bit like a devoted wife who was busy cooking in the kitchen, while she waited for her husband to return home.

"Okay. Thanks, Molly." Zachary responded with a smile. He paused briefly before he added, "Anyway, I want to introduce you to someone, Molly. This is Anya Wayne. She''s a friend of mine."

He thought he had done a good job at the introduction. However, Anya''s face immediately turned sour when she heard what he said.

"Haven''t you said that you thought of me as your younger sister? Why are you introducing me as a friend now?"

"Alright, fine. I made a mistake. You''re my younger sister. Is that good enough for you?" Zachary smiled helplessly.

At that moment, Molly turned around and scanned Anya from head to toe with a curious gaze.

"Hi, Anya!" She raised her knife and shed a smile at Anya.

Anya returned her smile politely and nodded slightly in response.

Molly said enthusiastically, "Go ahead and take a seat, Anya. Dinner will be ready soon."
