Chapter 75

Time flew by quickly. Before Zachary knew it, it was time to get off work. He packed his things, getting ready to head home.

Suddenly, he received a call from Anya. Curious, Zachary answered.

"Mr. Lloyd, are you free tonight? I ordered some seafood online yesterday. Would you like toe over for dinner?"

"No, thanks. I think Molly has already prepared dinner."

    "Are you living with her?"

    "Is there a problem?"

"Didn''t you tell me it''s inappropriate for a single man to live with a woman? Why are you―" Anya''s tone carried a hint of displeasure.

Before she could finish her sentence, Zachary interrupted, already understanding her point, "She''s different from you!"

He then heard something break on the other end of the line.

Momentster, Anya continued, "Mr. Lloyd, you said you think of me as a sister too. So why am I not getting the same treatment as this Molly? Are you being biased?"

Zachary found himself at a loss, unsure how to respond to her question.

Meanwhile, in the CEO''s office, Anya sat in her executive chair, her expression dark and resentful, as though she had suffered a great injustice. She bit her lip, seeming genuinely hurt.

Beside her, Sarah held a folder, looking on in surprise. She couldn''t help but wonder if this pitiful woman in front of her was the same charismatic CEO she worked under every day.

Unwilling to ept it, Anya added, "Since you think of me as a sister too, I''m moving in with you! It''s decided!."

"I only have two rooms, so there''s no space for you!"

"Mr. Lloyd, I highly suspect you''re intentionally being mean to me. So, aspensation, I''ve decided I''lle over to your ce for dinner every day!"

With that, Anya hung up the phone, not giving Zachary a chance to respond, her expression darkening further. Sarah stayed silent, clearly intimidated by Anya''s furious demeanor.

"Take care of the rest of the work. I''m leaving early today!" Anya ordered, standing

up, grabbing her bag, and walking out of the office.

Sarah quickly nodded, watching as Anya left.

The employee elevator was packed, so by the time Zachary stepped out, Anya was already waiting outside thepany entrance.

Some employees looked like they wanted to greet Anya, but when they noticed her cold expression, they instinctively averted their gaze and made a wide path around her.

As soon as Zachary stepped outside, he spotted Anya. Despite the crowd of employees leaving, her striking height and looks made her impossible to miss.

Anya saw Zachary almost at the same time. When their eyes met, Anya started walking toward him, but Zachary quickly signaled for her not to, his brows furrowed.

Anya halted her steps. Shooting him a re, she turned around and headed toward Zachary''s apartment. Zachary sighed in relief before following her at afortable distance.

Once they entered theplex, Anya firmly approached him, blocking his path.

"Mr. Lloyd, you still owe me an

answer. Since you considered both Molly and me as sisters, how am l different from her?" Anya asked, her expression tinged with grievance, which only made her look more alturing.

Zachary shifted his gaze from her face, feeling a bit guilty as he replied, "She''s in a worse situation, needing aw care and protection. But you''re

    different. You''re strong, and no

    you

don''t need anyone to take care of you!"  s?novel

    Anya fell silent.
