Chapter 40

Despite looking slightly pale, Ellen seemed extremely happy.

She even took a photo of Zachary with her phone when he busied around.

    "Okay. Hurry up and eat!"

After cing the food on the table, Zachary handed her the cutlery.

Ellen looked at her right hand with the IV drip and said in resignation, "I want to eat, but I can''t move my hand!"

With that, she gave Zachary an aggrieved and helpless look.

Zachary furrowed his brows slightly. "Don''t you still have your left hand?"

"I''m not left-handed." Ellen pursed her lips and asked pitifully, "Zachary, why don''t you feed me?"

Zachary was rendered speechless and stared at Ellen for a while without any expression.

    Atst, he still gave in.

He grabbed the cutlery and started feeding Ellen.

Ellen looked pleased and was all smiles.

"It tastes so good! Will you still feed me at night?" Ellen chewed the food thoroughly and looked at Zachary with anticipation.

Just then, the nurse came to the ward.

She looked at Ellen''s record and said, "Ms. Stewart, you can be discharged after taking this IV drip."

"Can I stay in the hospital? Maybe you can put me on another IV drip." Ellen was reluctant.

Upon hearing that, the nurse rolled her eyes. She said angrily, "Are you fooling around? It isn''t good to get too much drip!"

    With that, the nurse left.

Ellen pursed her lips, and the smile on her face vanished.

Meanwhile, Zachary secretlyughed at the side.

Ellen red at him. "Stopughing. Feed me. Quick! I''m not full yet!"

An hourter, Ellen was discharged from the hospital.

After leaving the hospital, she kept asking Zachary to keep herpany, but he turned her down.

Ellen didn''t give up pestering Zachary, so he had no choice but to agree to have smoothies with her.

They took a seat at the smoothie store.

Ellen ordered a ss of mango smoothie while Zachary only ordered a ss of iced lemon water.

"What happenedst night? I remembered you were fine when I left. Why did you suddenly get admitted to the hospital?"

As soon as they sat down, Zachary couldn''t help but ask about what had happened the night before.

An awkward look shed across Ellen''s face.

She stammered, "I-I was too excited

Zachary finally understood the situation. "Do you mean to say that the fact that

you were admitted to the hospital has nothing to do with me?"

Ellen argued, "Why does it have nothing to do with you? You''d better not forget that I only drankst night because I wanted to take your side!"

    pet

"I don''t think taking my side has anything to do with drinking, right? You wanted to drink. Why did you put the me on me?" Zachary refused to take the me.

Upon hearing that, Ellen was so furious that she puffed out her cheeks.

"Zachary, you''re such a jerk. I dare you to say it again."

Her voice was quite loud. Hence, many of them in the smoothie store turned around.

Zachary immediately felt awkward. He red furiously at Ellen, hinting at her to keep her mouth shut.

Ellen smiled smugly and arched her brows while looking at Zachary provocatively.

He suddenly noticed that Ellen''s features looked quite simr to Anya''s.

After that episode, Zachary chatted with Ellen for a while. When he was about to stand up and leave, Ellen, who was checking her phone, suddenly looked grim.

She reached out her hand and tugged at Zachary''s sleeve.

A puzzled expression crept across Zachary''s face.

Ellen remained silent and handed her phone to Zachary.

He took the phone and had a look. His face turned grim in an instant.

Ellen''s phone screen showed the timeline of her Twitter ount.

Thetest tweet was posted by Ethan a minute ago.

The post read, "Everything seems filthy when one''s mind is twisted."

The photo attached was Zachary''s back when he had left sadly the night before.
