Although males were forbidden from hurting females, it would be naive to assume that arguments and emotional abuse were nonexistent. Moreover, Interster Law wasn''t as strict back then.
"Impossible. That can''t be it!" Jamari''s eyes turned red. He refused to ept it.
"You''re lying to me! I want you to witness with your own eyes how your sons maul and ughter each other." He kept Sylvester suspended in midair and forced him to watch the two tigers in the starship station.
"What''s the point in doing this, young Crestfall? At the end of the day, the fault doesn''t lie with me. Do you honestly think happiness will be yours when one of my sons dies?" Sylvester closed his eyes, reluctant to see his battered, wed-up sons.
At that moment, utter chaos had taken over Stormw Alliance''s starship station. Initially, the security force was still able to keep up with Scott in his attempt to subdue Sean.
As minutes went by, they lost consciousness to the virus, which had been coursing through their bodies more rapidly ever since they channeled their mental essence. Before long, they also went into a frenzy.
Not only did Scott have to deal with these frenzied therians, but he also had to fend Sean off.
Other therians from the alliance joined the fight and lent him their strengths, but the virus was spreading at an rming rate as more of them got injured.
Eventually, Scott''s consciousness also began to be muddied, only an overwhelming murderous intent remained vivid in his mind.
Its emergence sounded an rm in his mind. He knew very well that he had been infected as well.
Scott instinctively reached out for Purification Potion that Analise gave him, but Sean mercilessly swiped at him and smashed him to the floor.
Gritting his teeth, he got up from the floor and pounced at Sean, pinning thetter beneath him.
However, Sylvester was still in the station. For that matter, Sean was his own brother. No matter what happened, he couldn''t bring himself to kill his own family.
Scott would''ve killed Sean without any hesitation if he had clung to his hatred for the murder of his mom and hadn''t known that Sean was possessed.
The truth, however, was that he knew that Sean wasn''t responsible for his mom''s death. Instead, the entity that possessed Sean was the cold-blooded murderer. Naturally, he couldn''t exact revenge by killing his own brother.
As time went by, more and more therians got infected, including bird therians. When one of the winged therians rushed toward Jamari, who was watching the chaos unfold, Jamari finally realized the fulbgravity of the situation.
He had to flee as soon as possible. Any dy, and he would join them, bing one of the infected.
"Old fart, I will never believe a word you say. Stay here and meet your doom!" Jamari gave Sylvester a hard shove, ducked the bird therian''s talons, and sprinted into the starship station''s interiors.
As of now, most of the infected remained at the starshipnding pad, and most of the evacuated therians were safe.
Jamari made good use of the chaos and snuck into the underground hangar. Then, he found a shuttle and had his iris scanned, intending to activate it.
To his surprise, Scott had already taken measures to capture him. After the iris verification failed, rms immediately red, letting out shrill, piercing sounds all over the ce.
"Damn it, Scott!" Jamari mmed the starship control panel and bolted. No one was here to capture him yet. So, he found the perfect chance to blend into the crowd and left the station.
The therians were fending off the frenzied males. It didn''t matter if they heard the ring rm and knew that Jamari was right there. They would never pursue him.
Back in the starship station, Scott had just pinned Sean to the floor, but two therian guards rammed him and knocked him over.
His pocket drive was sent flying from the momentum. It eventually smashed into a starship before shattering to pieces. Astral Ambers fell out and scattered on the floor.
Meanwhile, Scott''s back mmed
against the starship, the sharp edge of the spacecraft cutting a deep
gash on his waist. As fate would
have it, one of the Astral Ambers was forced into his gaping wound.
Raising his head, he let out a guttural roar born from the sh between the excruciating pain and his murderous intent.
