Chapter 101

Scott drove the whole way while Fiy and Analise sat in the backseat. Throughout the ride, he held tightly onto her hand.

"What''s wrong?" She could sense that something was wrong with Fiy.

"It''s nothing." He stered on a smile.

"Didn''t Fiy tell you about it?" Scott decided to speak up after wrestling with himself a little.

"What is it?" Analise was puzzled.

"His parents weren''t kind to him." Scott sighed.

She turned around and nced at Fiy, but she didn''t ask him about it. Instead of pressing him and opening up old wounds, maybe there woulde a day when he would reveal his past to her.

Analise pulled Fiy into her arms and gave him a squeeze. "Do you still want to go there? We''ll follow your lead."

"Yeah. They''ve been dead a long time anyway, and I''m just there to pay them respect at their tombstone.

"At the end of the day, I''m still their son," Fiy responded softly, seizing the moment and burying his head into her neck.

He searched his childhood memory and found that it wasn''t all terrible, even though he''d be hard-pressed to call it wonderful. His folks were buried under a mound of dirt now. He simply didn''t have to be scared of them anymore.

"Okay." Analise held Fiy in her arms for quite a while.

He didn''t let go of her until after he rposed himself and felt somewhat embarrassed. Although he had formed a contract with her, he still couldn''t help but blush and feel his heart race whenever he touched her.

Once they arrived at Stormw Alliance''s public cemetery, Analise followed Fiy

to his parents'' tombstone first. They died rather early on, and that might''ve been

why they wereid to rest at the outer edge of the cemetery.

Fiy led the other two through several turns before they finally found two mounds of dirt in a ce overrun with weeds.

"I have never visited them in all these years." Fiy rested his gaze on the weeds and pondered a little. Then, he pulled the weeds in front of the tombstones and cleared a tiny clearing.

Afterward, Analise finally saw his parents'' names engraved on the tombstones. They were simple and to the point.

She giggled and rubbed Fiy''s head. Then, she set the candles down.

"At the end of the day, you guys are his parents. You have the right t

caught herself and said, "I mee

    know that he''s married....." She

    formed a contract."

The Interster therian world had inherited the memorial candles that humans used in their eras, even though they were made from a different material.

"Let''s go." They didn''t waste any words. Once the candles finished burning, the three of them left.

When they arrived at Scott''s mom''s tombstone, he fell to his knees. "Mum, I found Sean. You were right. He''s still my brother when all is said and done."

He fell silent for a brief moment before he continued, "The thing is, Sean shifted back into his old body. He''s frail and ill now."

Scott lit up the candles. "You kept telling me to find a soulmate at my age and that I should lower my expectations. Well, I finally found a female I am very fond of. Are you happy for me?"

A light breeze blew past them. It was as if his mother was responding to him. Some of the candles were blown to the back of the tombstone.

Analise walked over, intending to pick them up. That was when she surprisingly found a small hole in the dirt behind the tombstone.

She stared at it for quite a while, mulling it over. Did someone try to dig up the grave, or was it the doing of small animals like rats?

She couldn''t be certain about it. After all, the hole wasn''t dug recently. Instead, it had been there for a long time.

"Scott, there''s a hole in the ground," Analise said after she picked up the candles and returned to the duo. She thought it was better to y it safe.

Scott immediately rose to his feet when he heard what she said. When he saw the small hole, he instantly thought about the impostor female that resembled his mom.

A wave of panic washed over Scott. "Mom, please forgive me. I''m about to do something disrespectful.

"Fiy, I need your help digging the grave up." Pursing his lips, Scott shifted into a tiger and started digging with his ws.
