Hearing this, Amara felt reassured.
She said, “I have a friend who runs a design studio and she''s looking for an assistant. I''d like to introduce you to her, but whether you get the job will be up to her. If you''re interested, I can set up a meeting between the two of you."
The friend she was talking about was Elysia.
After her divorce from Dorian, Elysia had essentially fallen out with the Moon family and resigned from the Moon Group altogether. In fact, she''d always resented her parents'' controlling ways and had never enjoyed working in corporate management. She much preferred running her own independent design studio-being her own boss, working as a designer, making money while doing something she truly enjoyed. It was a win-win.
As for the Moon Group, she was happy to leave that to her brother. She''d just enjoy life as a rather idle heiress, living off her dividends each year. Even though her rtionship with her parents was strained, she and her brother had always been very close. She knew he''d look after her, so she had nothing to worry about.
In the past few days, Elysia had been busy preparing tounch her studio. Most of the arrangements were already in ce, but she was still in need of an assistant.
Amara thought Nora would make an excellent assistant-after all, she''d managed to dig up even those elusive photos, and she''d aplished a lot during her time working with Liliana, demonstrating her abilities.
What''s more, Nora was a genuinely good person. Even though she was Liliana''s assistant, she''d earned a great reputation on the set of "Whispers of Winter." She genuinely liked helping others, and her warm, easygoing personality made her well- liked by everyone in the crew. That''s why Amara wanted to introduce her to Elysia.
Nora responded gratefully, "I''d be more than happy to! Thank you, Ms. Sullivan— here''s my phone number if you want to pass it along..."
The two exchanged contact details, and then Amara left. She nned to talk to Elysia about it in person and maybe catch up with her over dinner.
But when she arrived at Elysia''s apartment, she discovered that Dorian was there as well, and the atmosphere between him and Elysia was charged with tension-as if a heated argument had just erupted.
"Ely, what''s going on?"
When Elysia opened the door, Amara saw a scowl on her face. In the living room, Dorian was sitting on the sofa, visibly furious. Amara immediately asked what had happened.
Elysia replied, “He found out I was pregnant. He actually had someone follow me— caught me going to the OB-GYN for a check-up. I can''t believe it! What a jerk. That''s just beyond shameless."
Dorian jumped up, his anger ring. "What''s wrong with having someone follow you? You''ve refused to see me for days! I had no other way to make sure you were safe-I had to keep tabs on you..."
"Why do you care about my safety? My wellbeing is none of your business!" Elysia shot back. "If you''re bored, why don''t you go worry about Jessica? Aren''t you so concerned about her?"
"It''s almost been another
month-maybe Jessica''s about to have her menstrual cramps again Why don''t you hurry and take her to the OBGYN for a checkup? Why are you always obsessing over me Elysia didn''t hold back, shouting at Dorian right in front of Amara.
Dorian was fuming-not because Elysia was calling him out in public, but because she misunderstood his intentions.
"Take Jessica to the doctor? Please,” he snapped. “Jessica and I have nothing to do with each other! I blocked her a long time ago. From now on, the only person I care about is you..."

"But that''s not the point right now. Let''s not get into that,” Dorian said, changing course. "Why didn''t you me you were pregnant? You''re carrying my child, and you still want to divorce me I''m telling younow, le won''t agree to item not going to divorce you." Content befongs
