Later, someone happened to snap a picture of Finnian meeting Amara by the roadside. Even though the photo was taken from quite a distance and it was hard to tell for sure if it was really them, people online quickly started talking:


    “So Finnian called off his wedding because of Amara? Does he actually have feelings for her?"


    "Oh,e on! Why would Mr. Everly be interested in Amara? She already has a child! Who would be so thrilled to be someone''s stepdad? You really think every man is like Keith?"


    "If you want to gossip about Finnian running away from his own wedding, then keep it about Finnian! Why drag Amara into everything? Are you really this desperate for gossip? So ridiculous!"


    There was endless spection online. Amara saw thements herself and couldn''t help feeling helpless. She had a nagging feeling that her life would never go back to being peaceful after today—though to be fair, it hadn''t exactly been peaceful before... She sighed inwardly and decided to go see Elysia.


    Elysia had been staying in her own apartment these days. Every day, she sent Dorian Hawke a divorce agreement, but he always refused to sign.     Amara snapped back and recounted what had happened earlier, telling Elysia about running into Finnian when she was having lunch with Keith, and what Finnian had said. Elysia was left speechless.


    "Wait, so Finnian had no idea you were the one who saved him before? He thought it was Liliana?"


    “Liliana is unbelievable! How can someone stoop that low, pretending about something like that? What is she made of her nerve is absolutely unbreakable..... Ugh, just knowing her is bad luck!"


    Elysia was genuinely furious,unching into a passionate rant about Liliana, while Amara could only respond with a helpless, wry smile.


    "This whole thing is so surreal. I always wondered... after I left that day, there were clear traces on the sheets. Finnian should have realized something happened. Why didn''t he ever try to find out who helped him? Wasn''t he the least bit curious turns out Liliana sneaked in afterwards..."
