Chapter 532

"When I''m gone, thepany will be in your hands. I know you''re not skilled in business and it''s not your passion, so I won''t force you to learn. You can hire a reliable professional manager to run things. Just remember, do not sell thepany."

The Sullivan Group was something Larry had built from scratch; it was his life''s work. He could never let Amara sell it.

His eyes were fixed on Amara, as if pressuring her to agree.

Amara met Larry''s gaze, which felt sharp enough to see through her, and her heart skipped a beat.

Could he have sensed her hatred for him? Was that why he was giving her this instruction, afraid she would sell thepany out of revenge after he was gone?

Her mind raced, and she quickly replied, "Don''t worry, Dad. I know how much hardship you went through to build thispany. The older household staff have told me the stories. I would never sell it."

"Besides, they always tell me how Mom was by your side through it all, supporting and helping you."

"You could say thispany is the product of both your efforts. I will protect it and make it even stronger."

Although she had never met her mother, Amara had a deep affection for her, a fact known to everyone in the Sullivan family.

By saying this, she hoped Larry would no longer doubt her.

As she spoke, Amaramented once again how naive her mother had been. She had worked so hard alongside Larry, but after he seeded, she only enjoyed a couple of years offort before she passed away.

While Larry deserved most of the credit for the Sullivan Group''s sess, her mother had also contributed significantly.

And wasn''t the only reason Larry could focus entirely on his career because his wife was managing the home front?

Without her mother, Larry couldn''t have bnced family and work on his own. That was why Amara had always considered her mother an unsung hero of the Sullivan Group.

Larry nodded. "You''ve always been a good daughter. I know that." Amara lowered her head, wondering what he meant by that.

Was she a good daughter? To her mother, she certainly was.

Even though she couldn''t care for her in person, she thought about her constantly. As a child, she would get into fights with anyone who spoke ill of her mother.

But her past actions toward Larry could easily brand her as a terrible daughter.

Of course, he deserved it all. So, was Larry being sincere, or was he being sarcastic?

Amara decided to think positively. The fact that he was giving her so many shares while leaving Elowen with so little was far beyond her expectations.

If he intended to be sarcastic, he probably wouldn''t have done that.

She looked up with sincerity. "Dad, I was immature before and did many things

wrong. From now on, I''ll change and grow into a responsible adult. You can count on it."

    Larry nodded. "You may go."

As she left the study, Amara thought

about how Larry had given her so

many shares, plus another six percent to How much would

Flower be left for Fiona? One percent? Two?

Even with just one percent of the group''s shares, the annual dividends

would be enough to live morefortably than the upper-middle ss. As long as they didn''t cause trouble, they could enjoy afortable old age.
