After breakfast, despite his reluctance, Bradley still drove back to Steerfall.
Cameron stood there, watching his car as it disappeared into the distance.
Amelia hooked her arm around Cameron''s she "Sweetie, you look like you can''t
bear to part with him. Why not just go back to the
Saunders Manor with him?"
Cameron smiled, "Who says I can''t bear to part with him?"
Amelia said, "It''s written all over your face."
Cameron brushed her hand off and started walking back.
Amelia caught up, linking arms with Cameron. "Cam, you look really radiant today.
Guess being in love really suits you."
Cameron just stared at her, speechless.
Noticing Cameron''s flushed face, Amelia burst
"Cut it out." Cameron swatted her hand
away.
When they got back to the living room, they could hear Gavin getting a lecture.
Levi wore a stern expression. "Gavin, you''re thirty-four already. What, are you
nning to stay single forever?"
Jacqueline added, "Gavin, you really need to hurry up. Even your younger brother
and sister are already settled."
Gavin stood stiffly in front of his parents.
For the past month, Gavin had been enjoying a rare stretch of peace and quiet.
After all, everyone had been too busy worrying about Bradley going missing.
But now that Bradley was back, his parents'' attention had snapped right back to
him.
Gavin was getting a headache. ''Was it that I didn''t want to settle down?'' he
thought to himself. "I just haven''t met the right person yet.
As he was thinking this, the image of a delicate, elegant face popped into Gavin''s
mind before he even realized it.
Gavin pressed his lips together. "Mom, Dad, just give me a little more time."
Lance teased, "Gavin, Mom and Dad have given you way more than just a little
time. They''ve already given you twelve years."
Gavin''s forehead was practically pulsing. "Shut up."
"Lance?" Amelia sat down next to Lance and gave his arm a yful p.
Lance raised an eyebrow but didn''t say anything more.
Cameron finally spoke up for Gavin. "Mom, Dad, you really can''t rush love. These
things just have to happen when the time is right."
Levi gave Cameron a gentle look, but when he turned to Gavin, his eyes
immediately turned stern.
"Just because my precious daughter put in a good word for you, I''ll give you one
more month. But if you''re still single after that you''ll be going on blind dates
every single day," said Levi.
Gavin pressed his lips together, but in the end, he still nodded. "Alright."
After leaving the house, Gavin pulled his car over to the curb. He sat there in
silence for a long while, lost in thought, before finally picking up his phone and
dialing his assistant, Wesley.
"I need you to look into a girl named Britney Watson. Get me everything there is to
know about her," Gavin said.
"Understood, Mr. Yates," Wesley replied promptly.
Meanwhile, Bradley drove back to the Saunders Manor.
It was almost noon, and the only ones left at home were Beth and Edith.
Everyone else had already gone to work.
When Bradley walked in, Beth''s eyes immediately welled up with tears. She
rushed over to him. "Brad, you finally decided toe home."
Bradley gently wrapped his arms around her. "Mom, I''m sorry for making you
worry."
Edith also stood up. "Where on earth have you been these past weeks? You look
like you''ve lost a lot of weight."
Bradley replied, "Grandma, I''m fine. I just went out to get some air and clear my
mind."
Seeing Beth still looking at him with concern, Bradley admitted, "Mom, I''ve gotten
all my memories back."
"What?" Beth was taken aback.
Bradley said, "I''ve remembered all the memories I lost about Cam and me."
"I''m so sorry," Beth said, her voice thick with guilt.
Bradley gently shook his head. "Let it go, Mom. It''s all behind us now."
