Chapter 735

Gavin nodded as he made his way toward the room. "Yeah, I just wanted to talk to you."

Cameron reluctantly let him in. She didn''t bother closing the door.

She poured Gavin a ss of warm water, and after they both sat down on the couch, Cameron smiled and asked, "So, what did you want to talk about, Gavin?"

As she spoke, Cameron sneaked a nce at the tightly shut bathroom door.

Gavin crossed his arms and leaned back on the couch. "Cam, what has Bradley been up to this past month?"

Earlier downstairs, Bradley had just apologized. He never actually said where he''d been all month.

Cameron fell silent. ''What happened back then is already in the past. It''s better if Gavin doesn''t find out, she thought.

Seeing her go quiet, Gavin frowned a little. "Is it something you can''t tell me?"

Thinking quickly, Cameron blurted out, "Gavin, Brad got hit on the head and ended up with amnesia. That''s why he suddenly disappeared."

"Amnesia?" Gavin gave her a probing look. He could tell Cameron wasn''t telling him the whole truth.

''Bradley really did lose his memory? Did he just get it back now?'' Gavin

wondered. ''That fast? And seriously, what are the odds? Cam posts on Instagram, and just like that, Bradley gets his memory back?''

    Cameron nodded. "Yes, Gavin."

Gavin still didn''t believe her story. But he could see that Cameron was making excuses for Bradley. She had already made her choice.

So, Gavin stood up and said, "Cam, even though you''ve chosen Bradley, if he ever does you wrong, he''ll have to answer to me."

Cameron felt both moved and a little helpless. She stood up too, smiling as she hooked her arm through Gavin''s. "Gavin, don''t worry. Brad treats me really well."

Gavin ruffled her hair affectionately. "You, huh? Now your whole heart''s full of Brad."

Cameron walked Gavin to the door. "Gavin, you''ll always have a ce in my heart."

"Got it," Gavin replied with a smile.

Cameron waved at him and was just about to close the door when Gavin caught it before it shut.

"Gavin, what''s wrong?" she asked, looking puzzled.

Gavin said, "I just checked Bradley''s room, but he wasn''t there. Do you know where he went?"

"Not sure, Gavin. Did you need something from him thiste?" Cameron replied.

Gavin shook his head. "Never mind, it''s nothing now."

Since he couldn''t find Bradley anywhere, he ended up knocking on Cameron''s door.

Once inside, he quickly nced around Cameron''s room but didn''t notice anything out of the ordinary.

    08:64 Fri 8 Aug

Cameron shed him a smile. "Goodnight, Gavin."

Gavin gave her a nod. "Goodnight."

Cameron closed the door and locked it in one smooth motion.

Bradley heard the noise and came out of the bathroom.

Cameron was just about to say something when, with a click, the lights went out. Bradley had just flipped them off.

Luckily, there was still some lighting in from the balcony, so the room wasn''t totally dark.

"What''s with the lights?'' Cameron thought.

    "Brad?" Cameron called softly.

As soon as she spoke, a strong arm wrapped around her waist and pulled her straight into his arms. There was that familiar hint of lemon on

    him.

"Gavin-" Cameron tried to say, but her words were cut off.

    Cameron grabbed onto Bradley''s robe.

Bradley leaned in, his lips capturing hers. “Shh. Just keep going,” he murmured.

Cameron was stunned for a moment.

Somehow, the next thing she knew, they were sprawled out on the soft bed together.

Cameron said helplessly, "Aren''t you tired?"

Bradley''s voice was husky. "Cam, you have no idea how much I''ve missed you this past month."

Cameron wanted to say something more, but Bradley''s movements swept her up, and soon she couldn''t think straight at all.

    *****

The next morning, before anyone else was awake, Bradley slipped out of Cameron''s room, dragging his feet, and quietly made his way back to his own.
