Chapter 3141

    ?Chapter 3141:

N stayed for dinner at the manor and checked on Ethan before leaving, which gave Savannah little time to rest. Elissa had many things to prepare for her move to Srixby.

Savannah had wanted to travel with her daughter and help her settle, yet with the graduation season approaching and her students’ theses reaching their final stage, she simply could not leave the university.

She considered asking Neville instead. He was not as attentive as she was, but he had always treated Elissa with steady patience, and as her stepfather, he had never failed her.

While Savannah weighed the idea, N spoke up. “Don’t worry. Everything for the trip is ready. We’ll fly on our private ne. Elissa can sleep the whole way and wake up already in Srixby.”

There was no need for anyone to exhaust themselves over the journey.

N continued, “Once we’re home, we’ll be busy preparing for their wedding. Before long, all of you wille there together.” She offered her reassurance with quiet certainty. “With me here, Elissa will be safe.”

Her voice softened, not to defend her grandson, but to speak inly. “Ernest made mistakes in the past, sure. Some of them were serious. But when ites to caring for her, he never faltered.”

Savannah did not respond. She understood that part well now—even though she still didn’t really like Ernest.

Back when Elissa first left with Robin, Savannah couldn’t stop her and chose to look away, and the distance between them only widened.

For years, mother and daughter lived with that quiet divide.

    а?????v?? с???????????????? оn ????????о??e????.co??

Elissa had borne her suffering alone, ashamed of her choices; Savannah, thinking distance was discipline, had never known what happened to her daughter until muchter.

Savannah let out a quiet sigh. The memory pressed heavily against her chest.

“It’s behind her now,” N said gently. “She deserves peace and happiness from now on.”

    “I hope so.” Savannah nodded.

    Still, a quiet worry lingered.

She told herself she would watch more closely this time; she would not let her daughter be mistreated again.

In Srixby, Linda’s public trial opened that morning.

As expected, Cristian, standing for the prosecution, held the case firmly in hand.

Linda faced charges of two counts of attempted murder and collusion with human traffickers involved in trading people and organs. Every charge had been established in court.

Because the murders had not beenpleted, and because she was not the central figure in the trafficking ring, along with her cancer diagnosis, the court sentenced her to death with a reprieve.

    Cristian had expected this oue.

It was strict enough to satisfy Ernest and Eric.

    Gifford’s case would follow.
