Chapter 3134

    ?Chapter 3134:

Ernest’s frown deepened with worry. No wonder she was breaking out in a sweat—it must’ve been the weakness from all that blood loss.

She was so frail to begin with—how much blood could she possibly have to spare?

“Does your head feel light? Could it be your blood pressure dropping?”

Elissa paused, then shook her head. “No, I’m fine. Not dizzy. I’m really thirsty. Can I have some juice?” she asked.

All at once, as if noticing Savannah for the first time, Elissa puffed out her cheeks in embarrassment. “Mom, is it alright?”

Savannah was caught off guard. Elissa finally seemed to realize her mother was there.

“You can,” Savannah replied with a nod.

Having juice this once wouldn’t cause any harm.

“Thank you, Mom!” Elissa’s face lit up. She turned to Ernest, her voice soft and hopeful. “Will you go get it for me?”

    ???? pа??t ???? ?????? со?????????????? ??n ??a????о????????.сo??

“Yeah.” Ernest broke into a grin. “So, what kind of juice do you want?”

“I can’t decide. Why don’t you pick for me?”

    “Alright.”

With their heads nearly touching, they whispered back and forth, softughter bubbling up between them—sharing a secret only the two of them understood.

A little behind them, Savannah quietly observed, taking in the scene.

If Elissa foundfort in Ernest and familiarity in those hairpins, there were likely even more memories hidden away in Srixby—ces or things that would stir something in her. She might even begin to findfort in Locke, recalling the streets they used to wander together, the favorite shops, and the little restaurants where they onceughed over lunch.

Maybe it wouldn’t fix everything, but as the doctor had said, familiarity brought her a sense of peace and security.

After leaving the hospital, Ernest made a quick stop to buy Elissa an apple juice, then drove everyone back to Domaine.

As they stepped inside, Savannah lingered a few paces behind, quietly watching the pair ahead of her. She called out, “Mr. Flynn.”

Ernest stopped in his tracks, straightened his posture, and replied politely, “Mrs. Brown, you don’t need to be so formal—please just use my name.”

Savannah didn’t dwell on it. Instead, she said, “When your grandmother has time, invite her to our house for a meal.”

Ernest stood there in surprise, then in that instant, he understood exactly what she meant.

“Okay!” Ernest’s answer came quick and bright, excitement flickering in his voice. “I get it! I’ll tell Grandma as soon as I get home!”

“Alright.” A weight seemed to lift from Savannah’s shoulders as she let out a gentle sigh. She smiled warmly. “Alright, I’ve got papers to grade, so I’ll head out.”

She turned to Elissa. “You get some rest. I’lle by tonight if everything goes well.”

“Okay.” Elissa gave a well-behaved nod.

Her mother having a ss to teach was part of the routine.

    “I’m leaving now.”

    “Take care!”

Watching Savannah head out, Ernest could barely contain his joy. He squeezed Elissa’s hand, leaned in, and whispered, “Did you hear that?”

Elissa was a bit slow to react, but she vaguely understood—having Ernest’s grandmothere over for dinner must be something important.
