Chapter 3105

    ?Chapter 3105:

    A few dayster.

Night settled quietly, a warm breeze pushing gently through the trees, and the leaves responded with soft whispers. Insects hidden in the low shrubs filled the air with their endless chirping.

Ernest moved along a narrow gravel path with his head slightly bowed and his stride brisk.

He did not have the luxury of wasting even a moment. He had intended to disable the securitywork in the vineyard entirely for a short window.

Such a task would have been simple work for his techpany.

During the process, however, he realized the system in the vineyard was divided into separate grids. It could not be shut down in one sweep. Only certain parts could be taken offline at certain intervals.

It was not perfect, but it would have to do.

For the past few days, Ernest had hidden away in a small guesthouse. He memorized every walkway, studied every blind spot, and rehearsed the route over and over until his mind held nothing else.

Every step he took now followed those rehearsals. He slipped past cameras, skirted around patrols, and continued forward without hesitation, closing in on the vineyard where Elissa lived.

Everything unfolded ording to n. Ernest snuck into the house and reached the second floor without incident, paused in front of the master bedroom, grasped the doorknob, and pushed it open.

“Who’s out there?” Elissa called out. She had not gone to sleep yet. She was sitting near the window with a sketch board on herp. She stood when she heard the door.

“Elissa.” Ernest shut the door behind him and walked toward her with determined steps.

He wrapped one arm around her waist and brought his other hand to the back of her head, pulling her close without hesitation. He lowered his face and brushed a kiss against her hair. “I’m here now.”

After a quick kiss, Ernest spoke in a rush. “I came to take you away. We don’t have much time. We have to leave now.”

Elissa looked straight at him, her gaze locked with his.

    “But I…”

“You didn’t prepare anything, did you?” Ernest offered a small smile. “That’s on me. I never gave you a clear date. It doesn’t matter. You won’t need anything where we’re going.”

“At our ce in Srixby, everything is ready. You only need to follow me.”

While speaking, he realized Elissa was still dressed in her pajamas.

There was no time for her to change.

He lifted his gaze and gestured toward a corner. “Is that your closet?”

    “Yeah.”

“Stay here.” Ernest let go of Elissa and entered the closet, returning momentster with a shawl in hand.

He stepped close, opened the shawl, and settled it gently around Elissa’s shoulders. “This will do.”

Keeping his hand on Elissa’s shoulder, he guided her toward the door.

As they moved across the room, his voice softened. “Once we leave the vineyard, a car will be waiting. We’ll head straight to the airport and board the flight to Srixby.”

His mouth lifted in a faint smile. “When we arrive in Srixby, you’ll meet my sister, Hadley. She’ll take you out and buy whatever catches your eye.”

Elissa’s lips parted, but she could not form a word. Her throat tightened as if something had sealed it shut. Still nestled against him, she left her bedroom.

In a daze, she drifted through the foyer, slipped out of the house, and found herself standing in the garden.

They moved with haste toward the gate.

The night wind brushed against her cheeks. Elissa looked up at him.

His features were striking, and he carried himself with a quiet ease that made her chest ache.

If she had the chance, she would have wanted to go with him just like this…
