Chapter 3104

    ?Chapter 3104:

Savannah’s stance was unwavering, and she refused to bend in the slightest.

Only one choice remained. He needed to figure out a way to bring Elissa back with him.

Once they reached Srixby and the family stood together again, he would regain control of the situation.

Still, to leave with Elissa, her own approval mattered.

Ernest lifted his gaze and addressed the bodyguard. “Get word to her. Tell Elissa that I will being for her.”

    “Yes, Mr. Flynn.”

    Over at the vineyard.

Elissa woke upter than usual because she barely slept through the night.

While she sat at the vanity fixing her hair, a knock sounded at the door.

“Miss Brown, may I step in for a moment?”

    “Go ahead.”

The door swung open, and a cleaning maid stepped inside with a cart full of supplies.

The maid offered Elissa a pleasant smile. “Miss Brown, I came to clean your room.” She then turned and shut the door, making sure to lock it without drawing attention.

Elissa caught the gesture and stared at her, puzzled.

“Miss Brown!” The maid rushed toward her and took out an envelope, cing it into her hands. “Please take this!” She leaned forward and lowered her voice. “It came from Mr. Flynn. Do not lose it.”

    Mr. Flynn?

    Ernest?

Elissa grew startled, then pulled open a drawer in the vanity and slipped the envelope inside without another word.

“Good.” Once she saw the letter tucked away safely, the maid rushed to the door and flicked the lock open again.

    A momentter, Savannah walked in.

“Elissa, are you finished getting ready?” Savannah stepped closer with a soft tone. “I came to eat breakfast with you.”

“Yes, I’m ready now.” Elissa nodded, feeling an urge to keep her mother away from the vanity without even thinking about it. She linked her arm with Savannah’s. “We should head downstairs.”

    “Alright.”

As the two of them exited the room together, the maid pressed a hand to her chest and exhaled in relief. The letter had reached her without issue.

Ernest had been forced to write it by hand, since Savannah blocked every possible way he could contact her by phone.

    He had no better alternative.

    Downstairs.

Once breakfast ended, Savannah gathered her things for school, and Elissa walked her to the door.

Savannah said, “Make sure you take care of yourself. I’ll returnter this afternoon.”

“Alright.” Elissa nodded like she always did, and she stayed there until she saw her mother get into the car and leave through the gate.

Only then did she race back to the upper floor, pull the letter from the drawer, and unfold it.

The letter was short, and the handwriting left no doubt it belonged to him.

“Elissa, how have you been? I miss you so much. Every day we are apart, I find myself thinking about you. I understand why your mother worries, yet I will prove to her in time that nothing she fears will ever happen. Do not burden yourself with needless thoughts. There is nothing wrong with you. You are gentle and considerate—the best woman I’ve ever known, and no one else has everpared to you. If others speak badly of you, ignore them. Everyone faces criticism at some point in life. We cannot win everyone’s approval. Do not be afraid. I will stay by your side. Very soon, I wille for you, and afterward, we will go to Srixby together.”

At the bottom of the page, he added, “Once you finish reading this, destroy it. No one else can see it.”

Elissa held the letter against her chest, and her heart thudded so fast she could barely breathe.

Her mother told her days ago that he had already left Ontmond. Yet the letter spelled out the truth right in front of her. He nned toe for her. He wanted to take her with him to Srixby. That ce was meant for the both of them.

He hadn’t left. He hadn’t cast her aside.

He even imed she was the best woman he had ever known.

    However—
