Chapter 3071

    ?Chapter 3071:

Elissaid the napkin aside. “I’m done eating.” She nodded toward the bag he carried. “Is that meant for me?”

“Yes.” Ernest gave a small nod and held the bag out to her. “Would you like to change now?”

“Yes.” Elissa took the bag from him. “I’ll head upstairs.”

“Very well.” Ernest figured their earlier conversation would have to wait until she finished changing. “I’ll wait here for you.”

Elissa carried the bag up the stairs and returned to the master bedroom.

After she closed the door, she looked inside the bag and felt startled when she saw that the clothing was the same as the one she had worn before.

Realization came quickly as she understood how thoughtful he was. Wearing the same outfit would keep her mother from noticing a thing.

Elissa reflected on it quietly. He truly paid attention in ways she didn’t expect.

    о????а??i???? ??о???? ?????r?????? ???? ga????o??e????.с????

Inside the walk-in closet, she put on the new clothes, and they settled on her frame as if made for her.

The perfect fit puzzled her, and a small crease formed on her brow. How could it match her so precisely?

She wondered if he knew her measurements or if luck simply worked in his favor. If it wasn’t luck, then she couldn’t figure out how he learned something so specific.

Once she was dressed, she brushed her hair neatly before stepping out of the room.

Ernest caught the sound of her steps and waited near the top of the stairs. “Elissa?” he called, and at that moment, her phone began ringing.

“Hello?” Elissa snapped back into focus and answered quickly. “Mom?”

    Was Savannah on the line?

Ernest tightened his brows, wondering if Savannah had discovered her whereabouts.

Before he managed to say anything, the doorbell chimed once more. He needed to see who had arrived.

“Mr. Flynn!” Emma stood at the door, worked up with worry and irritation as she marched in without hesitation. “Where is she?”

She continuedining, “I helped you set up that meeting, and you spirited her away without telling me anything. Even if you had a reason, you should have let me know!”

Yesterday, Ernest had called Emma and asked for her help in meeting Elissa. Emma agreed without hesitation.

For that reason, she slipped away halfway through their time together to give him the chance he needed. However, she never imagined that in less than twenty minutes, both of them would disappear before she returned.

Who wouldn’t be concerned after that?

“Don’t worry.” Ernest gestured toward the inside of the house. “She’s safe.”

Right as he said it, Elissa came hurrying out with her phone in hand. Herplexion looked drained of color.

Elissa paused when she noticed Emma standing there. She wondered why Emma hade.

With no moment to reflect, Elissa darted forward. “I need to go home immediately!”

“Elissa?” Ernest caught her wrist. “What’s wrong? Why are you rushing off like this?”
