Chapter 3026

    ?Chapter 3026:

“Miss Brown.” The knocking grew faster. “Miss Brown, could you please open the door? Is it stuck? Hold on, I’ll go get the key!”

Inside, Ernest pressed his fingers against his forehead, exhaling in frustration.

There was no other way—he had to leave at once.

Releasing Elissa, he climbed up to the top of the fitting room, pausing for onest look at her before slipping away through the vent with quiet haste.

Before long, the shop assistant came back with the key.

    Savannah was with her.

    ???????????? ?????????????????? ???? ??????????????????.??????

    “Hurry! Unlock the door now!”

    “Yes, Mrs. Brown.”

As soon as the door swung open, Savannah rushed inside and pulled Elissa close, her hands gently checking for any signs of harm. “Are you okay?”

Elissa nodded her head softly. “I’m okay.”

Savannah exhaled in relief. “That’s good to hear.”

The shop assistant inspected the lock but found nothing unusual. “Maybe Miss Brown just had a bit of trouble opening it. I should’ve exined how it works earlier—my mistake.”

“But…” Savannah hesitated, recalling what the assistant had mentioned before. “Elissa, were you talking to someone just now?”

“No…” Elissa answered quickly, shaking her head.

Even though she was angry with Ernest, she had promised to keep quiet about seeing him, and she intended to keep that promise.

Savannah still looked doubtful, but after ncing around the fitting room, she didn’t notice anything out of ce.

The shop assistant gave a light smile. “I must’ve been mistaken. Miss Brown was probably just anxious when she couldn’t open the door.”

Without missing a beat, she added cheerfully, “Miss Brown looks stunning in this dress. Her figure is so elegant. Anything she puts on looks wonderful.”

“Absolutely.” Savannah smiled knowingly and slipped her arm through Elissa’s. “I’ve picked out a few more outfits. Would you like to try them on?”

Meanwhile, in the fitting room next door, Ernest stood motionless against the wall, barely daring to breathe.

A heavy mix of worry and heartache filled his chest.

Elissa had never treated him this coldly before.

Was it because of Robin? Had he truly be the viin in her eyes now that she had Robin?

If he ended up losing to someone like that, what would be the point of it all?

Losing was one thing, but Robin was dangerous—violent even.

He could never let Elissa stay entangled with a man like that.

Ernest made his way back to the hotel, where the receptionist looked up and said, “Mr. Flynn, someone has been waiting for you for quite a while in the lounge.”

“Appreciate it,” he replied with a polite nod before heading toward the lounge.

Inside, he spotted Wird Carrillo, the Flynn family’s long-time business partner in Ontmond.

“Mr. Carrillo,” Ernest walked over and greeted the visitor with a polite nod.

“Mr. Flynn, we only just learned that you were in Ontmond. I’m sorry we didn’t reach out sooner.”

“Mr. Carrillo, you don’t have to be so formal. I’m not here on business this time,” said Ernest, reassuring him.

His journey to Ontmond had only one purpose—Elissa.

Although he had many business connections in the region, he chose not to inform anyone of his visit, since work wasn’t the reason he came.
