Chapter 3024

    ?Chapter 3024:

The following morning, Savannah brought Elissa to the hospital as scheduled.

Meanwhile, Ernest had been on IV treatment for two days, and his fever had finally gone down, showing no signs of returning. The bodyguard had gone toplete the discharge papers.

Ernest waited near the entrance of the emergency wing, phone in hand, speaking with Eric while the car was being brought around.

All at once, his eyes froze on something in the distance.

“Eric, I’ll call you back,” he said quickly before ending the call.

Not far away, on a shaded walkway, Savannah and Elissa strolled side by side, their arms linked as they moved at a gentle pace.

    ??h?? ??????t ????v??????? о?? ???????о????????.c??m

Were they back at the hospital again? Maybe this visit was for Elissa’s follow-up check-up.

Ernest’s brow furrowed as his eyes fell on her pale face. Elissa’s features looked strained, and her eyes were red and puffy. Even the tip of her nose carried a faint flush.

It was clear she had been crying.

A heavy feeling settled in his chest. Was the news bad?

Frustration simmered within him. Neville was being far too secretive, and Ernest still hadn’t managed to obtain Elissa’s medical records.

“Mr. Flynn.” Momentster, the bodyguard pulled the car around and stopped in front of him.

Ernest climbed in and motioned subtly in Elissa’s direction. “Follow them.”

    “Understood, Mr. Flynn.”

The car rolled out of the hospital gates.

At first, Ernest assumed Savannah would take Elissa home. However, the Rolls-Royce ahead merged onto the main road, heading toward the city center.

Savannah was clearly taking Elissa shopping.

Since Elissa had only recently moved back home with her family, she needed to pick up a few essentials. Living with her family again meant she would also have to attend social events from time to time, after all.

And Savannah also hoped perhaps some shopping might help lift her daughter’s mood. Besides, spending time outside the house and seeing people would do her good.

Savannah guided Elissa straight into a women’s fashion boutique.

“The dresses you used to wear don’t fit quite the same anymore.”

Inside, Savannah began browsing through the racks, carefully choosing a few pieces. “For now, we’ll just pick some ready-to-wear clothes. We can have more custom-madeter at home.”

She lifted a dress and held it against Elissa, smiling. “This one’s lovely—simple, elegant, and perfect for you.” Then she looked at Elissa. “Would you like to see how it fits, sweetie?”

“Sure,” Elissa replied with a small nod, following her mother’s lead.

The store assistant approached them with a polite smile. “Miss Brown, pleasee this way. The fitting room is inside.”

She addressed Elissa as “Miss Brown” since Elissa had taken a new name with Neville’s surname after she arrived in Ontmond. Her family might still call her Elissa in private, but to everyone else, she was now Ellen Brown.

Savannah turned to her daughter with a hint of concern. “Would you like me toe with you?”

“No, thank you,” Elissa replied, shaking her head. “I can manage on my own.”
