Chapter 3008

    ?Chapter 3008:

The car slowed to a halt at the edge of the road, and the driver eased it to a stop.

Without hesitation, Ernest pushed the door open and stepped out into the open air.

His eyes locked on a lone figure standing by the entrance, and he started walking toward it with steady, deliberate steps.

The footsteps caught the man’s attention, and he turned, his gaze meeting Ernest’s from across the distance.

Both men scowled at once, mirroring each other’s displeasure.

“So, it’s you,” Robin said, his tone cold as his expression darkened. “Why are you here?”

    ??о?’?? m????? ?????? ??е??????sе?? о?? ???????o??е??s.????m

Ernest’s eyes narrowed. A mocking smile curved his mouth. “That’s my line. I should be the one asking you that.”

Then his look hardened. The smirk disappeared as quickly as it came. “What brings you here?”

“I…” Robin faltered for a second, unsettled by Ernest’s sharp tone, but quickly straightened and met his stare. “I came to see Elissa!”

A short, contemptuousugh slipped from Ernest as he gave a dismissive snort. “And what gives you the right to do so?”

The sharpness in his voice cut through the air as his onceposed face hardened into ice. “Do you honestly believe that being set up on your wedding night erases everything you did to her afterward?”

Although his tone was measured, the anger beneath it was barely contained.

“Do you need me to remind you? You struck her! You took her sight! She almost died because of you!”

Only a coward would every a hand on a woman, and to Ernest, that was the lowest kind of man.

Robin’s lips parted, but no words came. His face turned pale, his eyes clouded with confusion and disbelief.

Before either could speak again, the sound of a door creaking open drew their attention. Both turned their heads instinctively.

    From within, Savannah stepped out.

    “Mrs. Brown!”

    “Mrs. Brown!”

Both men straightened, their posture shifting to one of respect.

Lifting her gaze, Savannah regarded Ernest with a calm yet distant look, her brows knitting in quiet disapproval.

Bitterness clung to her voice as she spoke, the words trembling with loathing and despair. “So, you managed to find us in the end.”

A heavy sigh slipped from her lips as she slowly shook her head.

    She had seen iting.

    It was inevitable.

With hershes lowered, Savannah let out a quiet, derisiveugh. “Why can’t you just stay away from Elissa?”

“Mrs. Brown,” Ernest said, his steady gaze dark and unreadable. “I came here to see Elissa. I wanted to tell her that the ones who hurt her have been captured. They’re now under investigation and waiting for their trial.”
