Chapter 3007

    ?Chapter 3007:

Ernest’s brows knit together, realization dawning. This was clearly one of Neville and Savannah’s tricks to stay off the radar.

The subordinate continued, “Before Miss Hond moved into the estate, she was admitted to a private medical facility—one that Mr. Brown happens to have shares in.”

“When was that?” Ernest asked sharply.

He had searched all over Ontmond before. How had this slipped through his fingers?

“Miss Hond wasn’t using her real name, sir. She was admitted as Mr. Brown’s daughter,” the subordinate exined quietly.

    No wonder.

Ernest rubbed at his temples, letting out a slow breath.

He had considered many possibilities, but Savannah had yed her cards brilliantly, and Ontmond was Neville’s stronghold.

All along, he had been chasing a ghost—someone hidden in in sight under a name he would never have suspected.

    ????????d?n?? ?????el?? ???? ??a?????????????.c????

“Mr. Flynn.” The subordinate went on, “the date of Miss Hond’s admission was…”

    He named the date.

    “That day?”

    Ernest’s eyes widened.

It was right after Elissa’s ident.

The timeline matched perfectly for a trip from Srixby to Ontmond.

And just like that, everything fell into ce.

He had once suspected Neville and Savannah of finding Elissa and keeping her hidden. But now it was clear—they had found her much earlier than he ever imagined.

Which meant that while he was drowning in grief, they had been watching from the sidelines, fully aware of everything.

Not only that, they had even gone as far as putting on an act right in front of him, pretending to search while they knew all along where Elissa really was.

A lowugh escaped Ernest as the truth settled in.

That exined how Neville had whisked Savannah out of Srixby before they could uncover anything.

Of course they had hurried home to tend to their daughter, the one he had thought he had lost forever to the sea.

Ernest’s hand curled into a tight fist. “How is she now?”

“Well…” The subordinate hesitated, choosing his words carefully. “We managed to get a few photos of Miss Hond, but Mr. Brown has been very cautious. We haven’t had the chance to get closer.”

They had also located her hospital registration, but the medical files were sealed tightpletely out of reach.

    “I see.”

Ernest leaned back against the seat, saying nothing more.

Soon enough, he would see Elissa with his own eyes.

“Step on it,” he ordered quietly.

    “Yes, sir.”

    “Mr. Flynn, we’ve arrived.”

At the words, Ernest opened his eyes and turned to the window. The estate loomed ahead, old and imposing, its gate scarred by time and weather.

But what caught his attention wasn’t the gate—it was the lone figure standing silently at the entrance.

Ernest’s brows drew together, a flicker of tension crossing his face.
