Chapter 2987

    ?Chapter 2987:

Momentster, a gentle vibration rippled through the cabin. They were lifting off—weren’t they?

“Hadley!” Eric’s amused voice cut through the rush of wind. “Open your eyes! There’s nothing to be afraid of!”

If she kept her eyes closed, what was the point of this night flight at all?

“Okay!” Hadley answered loudly, her voice trembling with nerves, then forced her eyes open just a crack to let in a sliver of light.

    “Look outside!”

“Alright!” Slowly, Hadley opened her eyes wide and turned toward the window.

“Wow! Look how high we are!” she shouted, her voice filled with wonder and delight.

    “Now look down!”

    “Okay!”

When she looked down, the night view of Flynn Mansion shimmered under the streetlights. The rooftops of several buildings glimmered faintly in the distance. The woods, the swimming pool, the yground—all of it sprawled beneath her like a dream painted in silver and shadow.

“So tiny!” Hadleyughed, her voice bubbling with excitement. “It looks just like the toy models Joy ys with!”

“Isn’t it fun?” Eric teased her gently, his tone yful, like he was coaxing a child intoughter.

Soon, the helicopter drifted away from the skies above Flynn Mansion, climbing higher and higher until the world below turned into a glittering sea of lights.

Hadley tore her gaze from the dazzling lights below and looked at the man sitting beside her.

She had known him for over a decade, yet this side of him felt entirely new—a fascinating revtion she hadn’t expected.

Her mind drifted back to when she was fifteen—the year she first stepped into the Flynn residence.

Back then, he had been in his early twenties, a tall, slightly slender young man with the easy confidence of youth. The faint, boyish image from her memories slowly merged with the strong, posed figure seated before her now.

Well… Even though he was older now, he was still every bit as handsome—perhaps even more so.

She couldn’t help it—she’d always been a total sucker for a handsome face.

Catching her gaze, Eric nced her way, a proud smile tugging at his lips. “Are you checking me out?”

Hadley froze, caught off guard. Her first instinct was to deny it outright. But just as she opened her mouth to deny it, she changed her mind. “Yes! Got a problem?”

    “Am I handsome?”

Hadley rolled her eyes, refusing to give him the satisfaction of an answer.

Eric chuckled, amusement dancing in his eyes.

“Are you rolling your eyes at me?” He burst outughing. “Looks like I’ll have to show you just how good I am!”

He cleared his throat dramatically and shouted, “Hold on tight!”

The moment the words left his mouth, Hadley felt her stomach drop. A rush of weightlessness swept over her as the world spun upside down.

“Ah!” A startled scream tore from her lips before she could stop it.

In an instant, her view flipped—the glittering sea of city lights became the vast sky scattered with stars above her.

    “Ahhhhhh!”

The helicopter had actually flipped in midair!

Momentster, it steadied, returning smoothly to its upright position.
