Chapter 2972

    ?Chapter 2972:

    Was something wrong?

Her fingers trembled slightly as she unfolded the papers and began to read—until her expression shifted, her eyes clouding with shock.

Everyone in the room felt the tension thicken, though none of them fully understood the report. Something in Colleen’s face told them enough.

“Colleen,” Hadley said, her brow furrowed as she fought to keep her voice steady. “What does it say?”

“Please, tell us,” Louise said, her words trembling with worry.

    ??????????v???? ???????????? gе??? ???? ga????o??????s.??o??

Jorge stayed quiet, his expression drawn into a deep frown.

“I… I’m not certain,” Colleen said, shaking her head slightly.

Although she was a doctor, her expertisey elsewhere. Some things, she knew, required another pair of trained eyes.

The nurse spoke gently, breaking the uneasy silence. “Dr. Hayes, Dr. Ramsey from obstetrics and gynecology is on duty today. You may want her opinion.”

“Alright,” Colleen replied after drawing a long, steadying breath.

Without hesitation, Louise turned to Jorge. “Bring the wheelchair over, please.”

    “Got it.” Jorge nodded quickly.

Hadley moved beside Colleen, offering an arm for support. “Easy now. Don’t rush.”

With that, the three of them guided Colleen toward the obstetrics and gynecology department, where Frida Ramsey awaited.

“Dr. Ramsey, would you mind reviewing this report for me?”

“Of course.” Taking the papers, Frida studied each page in silence. After a moment, her eyes lifted toward Colleen. “This report belongs to you, correct?”

“It does,” Colleen answered, her stomach tightening as unease crept in.

A quiet dread fell over Louise and Jorge, who stood just behind her.

“Dr. Ramsey, what does the report say?” Louise asked, her stomach tightening with unease as she sensed something amiss.

Instead of replying right away, Frida nced at the group behind Colleen carefully. “Dr. Hayes, do you want some privacy before I get started?”

Colleen’s throat felt parched. She managed a weak response, shaking her head. “They’re my mother, my friend, and my… boyfriend. It’s fine. You can speak freely in front of them.”

“I see,” Frida replied, nodding with understanding. Then her expression grew grave. “I’ll be honest with you. The results aren’t encouraging.”

A long pause followed before she continued gently, “Dr. Hayes, the report indicates premature ovarian insufficiency—in other words, early ovarian failure.”

Louise’s eyes widened in disbelief. “I don’t understand… What does that mean exactly?”

    “In simple terms…”

Frida’s gaze shifted toward Louise and Jorge. “Her ovaries are failing, and Dr. Hayes may not be able to conceive.”

“What?” Louise’s voice broke into a cry, her eyes wide with disbelief. “That can’t be true! You must have made a mistake—she’s far too young for something like this!”

“I’m afraid there’s no mistake,” Frida replied, her tone steady yetpassionate. Turning back to Colleen, she asked gently, “Have you noticed changes in your cycle? Longer gaps between periods, lighter bleeding than usual?”

Color drained from Colleen’s face. Her lips trembled as she gave a faint nod. “Yes… That’s been happening.”
