?Chapter 2925:
Fresh tears streamed down her face. Her tone shifted wildly.
“I admit it! I was wrong! It was my fault, all my fault! I was wrong…”
Outside, Hadley heard the wailing and tilted her face toward Eric.
“Did you hear that?”
“Yes.” Eric nodded faintly.
“I heard.”
“So, do you believe her?”
“No.” Eric’s voice fell quiet, his head shaking with certainty.
“She only thinks she’s wrong because she’s been exposed.” That was the truth as he saw it.
“Not entirely…” Hadley frowned slightly, shaking her head in doubt.
“Given how broken she is now, maybe she’s telling the truth.”
“I can’t say.” Eric shrugged lightly.
“What lies in her heart belongs to her alone. Whatever it is, it doesn’t concern us.” Whether or not Linda’s regret was real changed nothing for them.
As their words faded, Eric pushed the door wider and stepped out.
Ernest was already there, waiting patiently.
“Ernest.”
“Yeah. Let’s move.”
The three of them departed the building without once looking back.
Later that night, within Flynn Mansion, Cristian arrived to deliver news to Hadley, Eric, and Ernest.
“Linda no longer resisted. She confessed.”
Then he went on to outline what she had admitted.
Cristian remarked, “Now it falls on me to handle the rest.” Confession was one step; pressing charges and securing her sentence would now upy him.

When Cristian left, Hadley sank into silence, her mind restless.
Both Letty and Linda had been seized, both had confessed. That meant Ellis’ burdens would soon lighten. She needed to prepare carefully for what she would say when he reached out to her.
The next morning, after dropping Locke and Joy off at school, Hadley returned home, changed into fresh clothes, and drove one of the cars from the garage.
As she passed the main building, Ernest and Eric were just about to get into their own vehicles and caught sight of her. Ernest threw Eric a questioning nce.
“Is Hadley heading out for a date?”
“Not sure,” Eric replied calmly.
“Probably.”
“You’re not going to step in?”
“What?”
Ernest stared at him, incredulous.
“Are you really just going to pretend nothing’s happening?”
Exasperation colored his voice as he pressed, “Why are you so useless?”
He studied Eric’s face and asked, “Be straight with me—have you stopped loving her?”
“Of course not.”
