Chapter 2924

    ?Chapter 2924:

Eric let out a short, icyugh.

“Even now, you refuse to see the wrong you’ve done. The truth is, every consequence you’re facing is the result of your own choices. There’s nothing left for us to say to each other. Let’s not cross paths again. Not ever.”

Linda froze in disbelief as Eric’s unfeeling words struck her like a blow, her breath catching in her chest.

She remained motionless, unable to move, her features locked in a rigid mask.

Her heart sank beneath a wave of sorrow she could hardlyprehend.

“Hadley.” Eric’s voice came again, softened this time, yet it carried a name that wasn’t hers.

With calm patience, he said, “Everything’s over. You cane out now.”

    “Alright.”

Hadley shot a sharp nce at Linda, her frustration bubbling to the surface. With a swift motion, she turned on her heel and strode toward the door, the tension in the air crackling as she made her exit.

Behind her, Linda’s stifled sobs broke through, trembling and weak.

Suddenly, a raw cry tore out of her throat. Her voice turned guttural, cracking as tears burst forth uncontrobly. Fixing her gaze on Hadley’s departing figure, she muttered shakily, “Was I wrong? Tell me what I did wrong? No, no…”

    She shook her head furiously.

“I wasn’t wrong! I wasn’t wrong! You’re the one to me! You’re the one who ruined everything!”

Her reddened eyes glistened with malice, her face warped by resentment.

“Hadley, you should have perished back in that slum in the! You! You’re the one who cut off my path! Without you, none of this would have happened to me!”

    “What?”

Hadley’s hand froze on the doorknob, her body rigid as Linda’s words struck her, leaving her momentarily speechless.

    Linda truly had lost herself…

    ?????????? ???????????? ????????: ????????ν????????????

Just then, the door swung open from the other side, and Eric appeared, his eyes steady on her.

    “Hadley, let’s leave.”

Hadley had barely nodded when Linda’s ears caught his voice, and she lifted her head toward the doorway.

“Who’s there?” Her broken cry filled the air.

“Eric! I know it’s you! You came! You finally came to see me!” Her wide eyes clung to the doorframe.

But no matter how she strained, she could not see Eric at all. He had no intention of stepping in; he had onlye for Hadley.

    “Let’s go.”

“Alright.” Hadley gave a small nod and slipped through the doorway.

Together they moved away, side by side.

“Ernest has already gone ahead; he’s outside waiting.”

    “Okay.”

Their voices and footsteps dwindled into silence.

    Inside, Linda shrieked, “Eric! Ernest!”

She lunged desperately forward, crying out in panic, “Don’t go! Don’t leave me!”
