Chapter 2890

    ?Chapter 2890:

Their only hope was that the couple who had taken the children had not yet slipped away.

Given that they had sought treatment here, local residents could be ruled out first. That narrowed the search.

“Additionally,” Ellis added, “I’ll notify the vige head and the authorities. The roads must be sealed—no one leaves.”

    “Thank you,” Ernest said curtly.

The two men split up, each rushing to their tasks.

Behind them, the doctor called out hesitantly, “Mr. Flynn… is there anything I can do?”

But Ernest didn’t even look back.

“Just stay here,” one of the bodyguards replied coldly.

“Mr. Flynn appreciates the information. Once the children are found, he won’t forget your help.”

“Really?” The doctor let out a shaky breath of relief.

    “Good… good.”

In truth, he had spoken out of pity—but once he learned the children’s true identities, self-interest had yed its part as well.

During the search, Eric and Hadley arrived. Eric had just finished an IV drip, the bandage still visible on his arm. Hadley helped him out of the vehicle.

The moment Ernest saw him, he rushed forward.

“You made it so quickly? Don’t strain yourself.”

Eric said nothing, his eyes flicking briefly to Hadley. She gave a small shake of her head.

“Ernest, don’t worry. We’re fine. The RV ride was smooth, and Eric rested well.”

“If you say so.” With a small nod, Ernest conceded.

    “That’s a relief.”

    ???????? ???????? ????????: ?????????ν????????????

“Ernest.” Eric finally spoke, his voice steady despite the weariness in his eyes.

    “Are you still searching?”

They had remained in contact throughout the journey, both fully aware of the unfolding situation.

“Yes,” Ernest replied, his brows drawn tight.

“The vige roads have been sealed…”

Before he could continue, his phone rang sharply, cutting through the tense silence.

    It was Ellis.

    Ernest answered at once.

“Mr. Flynn!” Ellis’s voice crackled with urgency.

“We’ve got a lead! The couple tried to escape the vige, but when they found the roads blocked, they bolted into the mountains—with the children.”

“What?” Ernest’s chest tightened, his heart skipping a beat.

    “And what now?”

“We’re in pursuit,” Ellis reported without hesitation.

“Understood.” Eric cut in firmly, his tone clipped.

“Send me your location—I’m joining you.”
