Chapter 2823

    ?Chapter 2823:

    “I’ll cooperate.”

    “This way, please…”

By the time Savannah finished her statement, Ernest was still there—waiting.

“Mrs. Brown,” Ernest greeted her with a slight nod. His usualposure was tinged with restrained urgency.

“I want to ask you… do you know where Elissa is?”

He pressed on, his gaze narrowing.

    “Is Elissa with you?”

“What?” Savannah arched an eyebrow, her tone sharpening with sarcasm.

“Have you lost your memory, Mr. Flynn? Did you forget?”

Her voice rose suddenly, trembling with old fury.

“My daughter—she died because of you!”

    “Mrs. Brown.” Ernest’s frown deepened.

“Your decision to risk so much to take Locke—was it truly your idea, or Elissa’s?”

Though Savannah never said it outright, Ernest was certain she knew more than she was letting on.

“Humph.” Savannah let out a cold, bitterugh.

“Locke is my grandson, and I have every right to take him with me. Hold me responsible if you want, but Elissa has nothing to do with this!”

With that, she turned on her heel, slipped on her sunsses, and walked away with resolute steps.

Ernest remained still, watching her retreating figure, his face darkening as his brows knitted tightly.

Later, at the Crimson House in Flynn Mansion, the doctor finished examining Hadley.

“Her blood pressure is low, but nothing else is rming. It’s mainly…”

…emotional strain. No medication is needed—just make sure she rests.”

    ???????? ?????????? ?????????????? ???? ?????????ν??????﹒?????

“Understood.” Eric nodded and escorted the doctor out. Then he returned to Hadley’s bedside and kept a silent watch over her.

A faint vibration broke the quiet from the sofa—Hadley’s phone, buried in her bag.

Eric picked it up and nced at the screen. It was Ellis.

He had no intention of answering. With a tap, he silenced the call.

The buzzing stopped—only to start again momentster.

Eric frowned. What was so urgent that Ellis wouldn’t stop calling?

He took the phone, stepped outside, and answered.

    “Hello.”

On the other end, Ellis hesitated for a second.

    “Mr. Scott?”

    “Yes.” Eric’s tone was steady.

“Hadley can’t take your call right now. Try againter.”

He was about to hang up when Ellis spoke quickly.

    “Wait, Mr. Scott!”

    Eric’s patience thinned.

    “What is it?”
