?Chapter 2781:
“Finally! Hurry!”
July appeared, her face alight with a warm smile.
“Mom…”
“Move aside!”
Ellis stepped forward only to be brushed off.
July ignored her sonpletely, casting him a look of mild annoyance.
“Don’t block the way.”
Ellis huffed out a faintugh, conceding.
“Fine. All yours.”
“Hadley!” July sped her hands, her tone affectionate.
“May I call you that?”
“Yes…” Hadley nodded, a little dazed.
July was just as exuberant as she’d remembered.
“Wonderful! Come in!” Tugging Hadley along, she called over her shoulder, “And you—why are you still standing there?” She waved him off.
“Pull out a chair for Hadley so she can sit down!”
“Right away.”
“Honestly, such a blockhead!”
Outside, Eric arrived in haste.
Phone to his ear, he strode toward the entrance.
“I’m here. Well? Is it set?”
On the line, Xander replied, “All set, Mr. Scott. The manager’s waiting for you inside.”
“Good.” By the time he hung up, Eric had already stepped into the lobby.
“Mr. Scott!” The manager—a man in a sharp suit—hurried over at once.
???????? ???????????? ?????????????? ???? ??????????????????????
“Hm.” Eric gave a curt nod.
“Xander filled you in?”
“Yes.” The manager gestured ahead.
“This way, please…”
“Right here.” The manager gestured ahead, leading Eric to the surveince room.
Stepping aside with a courteous sweep of his hand, he said, “Mr. Scott, please.”
“Alright.” Eric nodded curtly and strode in.
The manager, having already been briefed by Xander, offered a more detailed exnation.
“Mr. Scott, the private rooms are equipped with surveince, but as a rule, the cameras remain inactive unless guests specifically request otherwise.”
Discretion, after all, was the lifeblood of a high-end establishment.
“If I may ask…” The manager hesitated, ncing at Eric’s cold expression.
“What’s the purpose of this review?”
“The person inside is a family member of mine,” Eric replied, his tone clipped and impatient.
“Don’t worry—I won’t interfere. I just need to see if she’s okay.”
“Understood.” The manager inclined his head deferentially.
“Since it’s your family, I’ll have the feed enabled immediately.”
