Chapter 2780

    Chapter 2780:

    “Take Joy over first.”

She had already spoken to Joy in advance.

With a gentle wave, she called out, “Joy, Mommy has to go. Bye-bye.”

    “Mommy, bye-bye!”

Eric carried Joy, following behind as Hadley stepped out of the Crimson House, his brows drawn slightly together.

Sebastian had the car ready, holding the door open.

“Thank you, Sebastian.” Hadley slid in.

The car pulled away, rolling toward the gates.

Eric stood rooted, watching it vanish.

“Daddy?” Joy tugged at his neck, urging, “Let’s go! Great-Grandma’s waiting!”

    “Hello.” Ellis greeted the receptionist.

“I left something here earlier—could you fetch it? Name’s Gomez.”

“Of course. One moment.” The receptionist disappeared, soon returning with a bag.

From the corner of her eye, Hadley glimpsed a sleek, high-end gift box.

    “Here you are, Mr. Gomez.”

    Ellis opened it briefly.

    “Perfect. Thank you.”

Turning back to Hadley, he offered a faint smile.

“I’ll carry it for now. Before we go in, you’ll take it.”

    Hadley blinked, piecing it together.

    A gift—for July, most likely.

    It made sense.

Though July had invited her, this was their first formal meeting. It would be improper to arrive empty-handed.

    ?????? ???? ?????????? ???????????????????????

Hadley had thought of this before—but intentionally prepared nothing.

She had feigned ignorance, even hoping that ack of courtesy might displease July.

If July disapproved… perhaps her rtionship with Ellis would copse on its own.

But Ellis—whether out of care or foresight—had handled it himself.

“Let’s go.” With the bag in hand, he led the way.

“It’s a brooch,” he added as they walked.

“My mother is fond of them…”

    A quiet hint—so she wouldn’t falterter.

    “Okay.” Hadley nodded faintly.

    “I understand.”

“We’re here.” Ellis stopped at a door, gesturing toward it.

    “This one.”

    He passed her the bag.

Hadley drew a deep breath and epted it.

    Ellis knocked twice.

“Mom, Hadley’s here. We’reing in.” Then he pushed the door open.

“Come in quickly!” July’s cheerful voice rang before the door even fully opened.
