Chapter 2754

    ?Chapter 2754:

Was she still working tonight? It made sense.

He recalled her saying she’d been busy with dubbing worktely. That new show of hers must be close to release.

After clocking out, Ellis headed straight to Hadley’s work studio, just like they had agreed.

His new job wasn’t far from her agency’s office. He often passed the building on his way home.

That was why he’d run into Hadley when she finished work and spotted Bianca in that same building the other day.

Now, he sat in his car and waited. There was no rush. He arrived early.

Twenty minutes passed before his phone finally lit up—Hadley had finished.

He pulled up to the entrance and spotted hering out, bag slung over her shoulder.

He stopped the engine. Then he reached across the seat, grabbed the bouquet, and stepped out.

She paused near the doorway, scanning the area.

    “Hadley!”

She turned toward the voice and saw him waving as he walked up. He soon came to a stop in front of her.

“Hadley…” He looked at her and asked quietly, “Is it alright if I call you that?”

“Sure.” She gave a small nod.

    “You can.”

It was just a name, and it didn’t really matter to her.

“Here.” He smiled as he held out the bouquet, both hands offering it like something precious.

    “This is for you.”

She nced down and whispered, “Lilies.”

    ???????? ???????? ?????????????? ???? gal????ν??????﹒?????

Her face didn’t light up. He noticed. He could tell she wasn’t all that into them.

“I wasn’t sure what you liked.” He rubbed the back of his neck.

“Next time, I’ll get the right ones.”

“Lilies are fine.” Her voice softened.

    “Shall we go?”

“Of course.” He motioned toward the road.

“The car’s parked over there. Let’s get in.”

They couldn’t linger too long; the police mighte around with a parking ticket.

    “Okay.” She walked beside him.

When they reached the car, Ellis opened the door and held it for her.

    “Thank you.”

    “You’re wee.”

A few cars behind them, a ck Bentley sat in silence.

Inside, Eric watched as Hadley got into Ellis’ car.

    He had just arrived.

He meant to surprise her after work, showing up without a word. Instead, the surprise turned on him.

Hadley came out earlier than he expected. Right as he was about to step out of the car, Ellis appeared and beat him to it.
