?Chapter 2746:
Hadley faltered. Could it really be said that way?
“Thank you,” Eric said with conviction.
In his eyes, Hadley seemed to glow with light, so radiant it almost hurt to look.
“Hadley, from this moment on, my life belongs to you,” he murmured.
Her eyes grew misty at his words. She forced a smile, her lips trembling as she tried to hold herself steady.
“You must be exhausted after these past days.” Hadley shifted the topic.
“Shall we leave the hospital now?”
“Sure,” Eric agreed at once.
“I’ll do whatever you say.”
Hadley studied him closely.
“Let’s go back. You need to get a haircut, take a proper bath, and get some sleep.”
The dark circles under his eyes said everything. He had not been resting well.
“Okay.”
“Let’s go.”
“Alright.”
Eric followed Hadley out of the building. Together, they stepped into the car and drove toward Olisvale Bay.
On the way, Hadley said, “Once I drop you off, I have to leave.”
“Where to?” Eric tensed, and his brows drew together.
“You forgot? I have dubbing work to catch up on for these days. I told you yesterday, remember?”
“Oh, right.” Eric rxed upon realizing something.
“Then go ahead with your work.”
Hadley nodded, and then added, “In the evening, go back to the Flynn mansion for dinner with Grandma. She hasn’t seen you in days.”
?????????? ???????????????? ????????????: g????????ν??????[?]??????
“Okay.”
Hadley blinked in surprise.
Was that the only word he knew how to say?
All at once, her nose stung with unshed tears.
At the main gate of Olisvale Bay, Ferris stood waiting, leaning on his cane. He had clearly been there for some time.
The car rolled to a stop.
The next moment, Eric and Hadley stepped out together. The former spotted Ferris, but his expression remained unchanged. Their father-and-son rtionship had long been cold, but it was made colder still by what happened recently.
Hadley, ustomed to it, offered a polite nod.
“Mr. Scott, good morning.”
“Oh, morning.” Ferris smiled warmly and motioned toward the gate.
“Please,e in.”
Hadley shook her head and politely declined the offer.
“Thank you, but I have work to finish. I have to leave now. My apologies.”
“I see.” Ferris chuckled awkwardly.
“Workes first. No need to apologize.”
