Chapter 2730

    ?Chapter 2730:

“I’m stuck lying down for now. Bear with me.”

Ferris stood to the side, rgely ignored.

Ernest, as always, wasposed and unreadable.

    “It’s alright.”

“Just stay put,” Hadley said, her brows knitting as her gaze lingered on the bandages at his head.

“You hit your head so hard that day. Who knows if there’ll beplications?”

“It’s fine.” Eric waved off her worry with a lopsided smile.

“If something were wrong, it would’ve shown up by now.”

“Better safe than sorry,” she countered, her tone firm.

She remembered hisst ident—how they’d thought he was fine after the initial car ident, only for a blood clot to be discovered in his brainter, leading to the operation six months ago.

“You still need every test done, and you’re going to follow the doctor’s orders—all of them, and no arguments.”

    “Alright.” Eric nodded, grinning boyishly.

    “I’ll listen to you.”

Hadley sighed, cing a bag on the table.

“I brought all your things. Now I don’t have toe every day just to drop them off. If you need anything else, just ask.”

“Actually…” Eric reached for her hand, holding it firmly.

    “There is something.”

Hadley paused, her eyes meeting his.

Her expression softened as she caught on.

“Joy has sses in the morning. I’ll bring her this afternoon.”

“Really?” Eric hesitated when she actually agreed, worry flickering across his face.

    ??α???????? с????ρ???????? ??α??????ν??????﹒?????

“Won’t it be inconvenient? How do we exin it to her?”

“I’ve thought about that,” she said gently.

“We’ll just tell her Daddy is sick.”

Their daughter had been asking about him every day. It weighed on both of them.

    “Don’t worry,” she added.

“We’ll be careful so she doesn’t suspect anything.”

“Alright.” Eric finally let out a slow breath, his shoulders easing.

“I’ll leave it to you… I’ll be waiting.”

Then, as if realizing something, he frowned again.

“It’s been so long since Ist saw her. She’ll probably be angry with me.”

    “Tch.” Hadley shrugged.

“Then that’s your problem to fix.”

    Later, Ferris and Ernest left.

Hadley remained, instructing the caregiver on where his things were and exining his routines.

By afternoon, she returned to the Flynn mansion to fetch Joy.

The moment she heard that her father was sick, Joy’s small hands clenched tightly, her wide eyes full of worry. The entire ride, she barely spoke.

At the hospital, the uniformed officers stationed near the VIP ward caught her attention. But when Hadley told her they were just security guards, the little girl believed her mother without question.
