Chapter 2728

    ?Chapter 2728:

Shaking his head coldly, he added, “If she insists on hiding, determined to ruin my son… then remember—whateveres to you, it’s on her!”

He then waved the guards on.

    “Now take them away.”

    “Yes!”

Atst, the boy and girl were taken away.

    Ferris exhaled deeply.

“I had no choice but to resort to this.”

For days, Bianca and Gifford had disappeared—without a trace, without a single lead.

The policecked evidence and couldn’t issue warrants. Finding two determined fugitives in a sea of people was nearly impossible.

And without drastic action, Eric would remain behind bars indefinitely—he couldn’t allow that.

    Ernest remained silent, frowning.

“Mr. Scott, what’s your next move?”

“Here’s how we proceed…” Ferris motioned for patience, then called Cordell closer.

    “Spread the word.”

“Understood.” Cordell left to carry out his orders.

Ferris sighed, weariness etched across his face.

“News that Jett and E are here will spread. Bianca will hear of it, surely.”

Compared to her brother, Bianca still had a sliver of conscience. That was partly why she had sided with Gifford all along—because she believed her brother wasn’t really evil.

“Knowing her, she won’t abandon her children. We’ll wait.”

    Two dayster, Cristian brought news.

Bail was still off the table, but Eric’s recent head surgery, major head trauma from the kidnapping, and traces of sedatives in his blood now qualified him for medical parole.

That same day, Ferris, Ernest, and Hadley arrived at the police station toplete the paperwork.

While the men went inside, Hadley waited outside.

There was no need for everyone, and besides—she wished to avoid running into Ellis. Yet fate, as always, yed its tricks.

Standing beside the car, she spotted Ellis approaching from across the street.

Was he just arriving for work? But it was nearly ten o’clock—shouldn’t he already be at his desk?

Before she could slip away, he raised a hand in greeting and quickened his pace.

    “Here for the paperwork?”

“Yes.” She gave a short nod.

“Mr. Gomez, you should head in.”

As the case supervisor, his signature was needed.

Ellis paused, reading her guarded stance.

With a faint shake of his head, he said, “The new chief is probably already handling it.”
