?Chapter 1346:
“Alright.”
Without another word, Hadley left the room.
As soon as she reached the corridor near the OR, her steps slowed. She then paused mid-step, her body tense with caution. She’d dealt with Ferris before, and it hadn’t been pleasant—he never liked her. Ferris let out a low grunt and gave her a look, a faint smile tugging at his lips.
“Didn’t expect to see you here.”
Without saying a word, Hadley gave a small nod.
“Take a seat.” Ferris motioned toward the long bench near the entrance, clearly ready for a serious talk.
Though uncertain, Hadley did as she was told and sat down.
“Listen…” His gaze stayed fixed on the tightly shut operating room doors. His voice was low and heavy. “You’re the reason he ended up like this.”
A flicker of emotion crossed Hadley’s face.
Eric might have risked a lot, but ming her entirely? That waspletely unfair.
Ferris let out a dryugh, speaking as if she wasn’t even there. “I’ve warned him more than once—women stir up trouble. But did he listen? Never. And now, here we are.” Then he turned, his sharp eyes settling on her.
“Tell me, if you hadn’t stirred up trouble, would he be in there right now?”
“Mr. Ferris…” Hadley’s brows knitted together. She opened her mouth, ready to defend herself.
“But what’s there to be done?” Ferris brushed aside her weak protest. “The man’s obsessed. That’s all there is to it. You’re all he ever wants… Fine, I guess we all must have something to live for.”
That caught her off guard. Her eyes blinked slowly, trying to understand what he was getting at.
“If he’s that attached, then the least you can do is stay by his side.” Hadley’s eyes widened as she shot him a sharp look.
Pushing himself to his feet, Ferris gave her a long, unreadable look.

There was something smug in the way his lips curved. “You have no idea how much pressure Eric’s under. If you can’t support him, at least stop dragging him down.”
He sighed and then continued, “I’m old, and he’s the only son who’s made something of himself. If you being near him gives him peace, then I’ll let you stay. But if you cause more harm than good… You better think long and hard about what you’re really bringing to the table.”<fn9bd6> This content belongs to FιndNovel</fn9bd6>
Without another nce, Ferris turned and walked away.
Left behind, Hadley sat quietly, Ferris’ words echoing through her mind as her fingers curled into tight fists.
Nearly two hours slipped by before the doors to the operating room finally opened.
Leading the way down the hallway, Ferris wasted no time saying,
“Doctor. Tell me how my son is doing.”
“Mr. Scott, there’s no need to worry,” the doctor replied. “He arrived in time, and the finger had been properly preserved. The cut was also clean, which helped—”
Ferris clicked his tongue, clearly irritated. “What is this, a lecture? Skip the nonsense and get to the damn point!”
“Yes, of course.” The doctor nodded hastily. “The reattachment was sessful, however…”
“However what?”
