    “Elissa?” N repeated quietly.


    The way he said her name left no doubt in anyone’s mind where his heart stood.


    N had seen and heard everything. She lifted a hand to the base of her neck and massaged it. “What’s wrong with you, Ernest? There are so many women in the world. Why her? Why are you so fixated on a woman who’s already married?”


    Ernest froze.


    The truth was out. He had tried to keep this from his grandmother, dreading her reaction. He had wanted to wait until Elissa’s divorce was finalized before saying anything.


    “Grandma,” Ernest began, steadying his voice. “Elissa is already in the process of getting a divorce. She—”


    “What?”


    Ironically, his exnation only made matters worse. N’s emotions red even more.


    “Ernest!” N roared, pointing usingly at Elissa. “Is she the only woman left in the world? You’re actually sitting around waiting for her to get divorced? You’re the president of the Flynn Group, and this is what you’ve lowered yourself to? The third party in someone else’s marriage? Have you lost your mind?”
