?Chapter 1098:
A surge of fury overwhelmed Astrid once again.
Without thinking, she dashed towards the car.
Just as Hadley maneuvered out of the parking space and aimed for the exit, Astrid blocked her path, arms outstretched and eyes filled with fury. “Hadley, step out of that car!”
Was Astrid causing anothermotion?
Hadley’s brow creased in frustration as she reluctantly exited the vehicle.
“Hadley!” Hurrying towards her, Astrid seized Hadley’s arm. “Hand over the keys—now!”
Surprised, Hadley recoiled, staring at Astrid. “Have you lost your senses?”
With a defiant tilt of her head, Astrid met Hadley’s gaze, her eyes wide with fury.
She pounded her foot on the ground, gesturing towards the vehicle. “Exin how you got this car!”
Raising an eyebrow, Hadley retorted, “Why should that concern you?”
“It matters to me!”
Suddenly, Astrid recalled the car purchase receipt she had spotted in Brady’s room just days before—it was for this very model!
Brady had been evasive, despite her and her mother’s inquiries about who the car was intended for.
And now, here was Hadley, behind the wheel!
Was this merely a coincidence?
“Is it Brady who bought you this car?” Astrid snapped.
Caught off guard, Hadley paused, a flicker of surprise crossing her face. Astrid was aware? How on earth did she discover that?
It didn’t look like Brady had informed Astrid; she must have somehow stumbled upon the truth. Her agitation was also a clear indicator of her surprise.
Wanting to avoidplications for Brady, Hadley chose to be evasive. “You’re being ridiculous. Why would he buy me a car?”
“I don’t buy it!” Astrid persisted, convinced of her usation. “It’s the truth!”

She made another attempt to seize Hadley, reaching for her arm. “The keys—hand them over now!”
“Why should I?” Hadley responded with augh.
“This car belongs to me!” Astrid yelled at the top of her lungs. “Return my car to me!”
“Really?” Confusion swept over Hadley, her eyes reflecting sheer disbelief. “Are youpletely crazy?”
Despite the car being a gift from Brady, it legally belonged to Hadley now!
“Absurd!”
Breaking free from Astrid’s grasp, Hadley made a move to depart.
“You stop right there!” Shaking with rage, Astrid bent forward and rushed towards Hadley. “Hadley, you vile creature, I will bring you down!”
“Ah!”
Reeling forward from the impact, Hadley’s head collided with the car, sending a sharp pang through her skull. She reached for her forehead, sensing something warm and sticky on her fingers—she was bleeding!
The pain was unbearable.
“You’ve lost it!”
