Chapter 1050

    ?Chapter 1050:

“And what of it?” N snapped, her voice sharp as she red at Ernest. “Compared to everything he’s taken from the Flynn family, his efforts are nothing.”

    “Grandma…” Ernest faltered, stunned.

Eric’s face was ghostly white, a cold dread coursing through him, chilling him to the core. Every breath felt heavy, each movement trembling with restraint.

“Ernest!” N’s voice cut through again, her eyes zing. “Are you trying to upset me? My real grandson is gone, and you expect me to face this impostor every day?”

“Grandma!” Ernest sighed and nced at Eric, who looked utterly broken.

“Ernest,” Eric said, forcing a hollow smile. His eyes were empty, deste.

“Grandma’s not well. Don’t fight her on this.”

“Eric…” Ernest’s voice was thick with conflict, torn and powerless.

“Grandma,” Eric said, turning to N. His voice was soft, ced with guilt and sorrow. “Please don’t be upset. I’ll leave…”

    “Eric!” Ernest called, desperate.

“Ernest,” Eric interrupted, his smile strained, eyes glistening with unshed tears. “I’m leaving. Take care of her. I’ll always be grateful for you.”

He stepped back, bowing deeply to N.

“Grandma, thank you for raising me. I won’t be here to look after you or bring you joy anymore. Please stay well.”

N stared at him, her own eyes brimming with tears. Abruptly, she shut them tightly and waved him off. “Go. Now.”

“Yes,” Eric whispered. He cast one final look at N and Ernest, then turned and walked out.

“Eric!” Ernest shouted, starting after him.

“Stop!” N’s voice cracked like a whip, tears streaming down her cheeks. “Don’t chase after him. He’s not your brother. He’s just an impostor.”

“Grandma!” Ernest’s face was taut, his eyes shing with an umon intensity. “You can’t talk about Eric like this! He has been part of the Flynn family for years, not out of greed. If he was after wealth and power, he could’ve taken control of everything during the four years I was unconscious! But he didn’t!”

For those four years, Eric had poured his heart into managing the Flynn family’s business.

To the outside world, he might’ve seemed like themanding head of the household, but in truth, he knew he was simply a loyal employee working tirelessly for the Flynn family’s sake.

“He truly considers us his family—you as his grandmother, me as his brother. Saying these things about him is like shattering his spirit!”

N froze, stunned by Ernest’s words. She had no counterargument.

A sob escaped her as she buried her face in her hands. “What am I supposed to do? The thought of my real grandson being gone, reced by him—it tears me apart… My Eric, my boy!”

Trying to catch up with Eric proved fruitless.

Ernest stepped out of the hospital room and dialed his number.

“The number you’ve reached is currently unavable. Please try againter.”

Eric’s phone was never off, meaning he’d deliberately powered it down.

“Quentin,” Ernest called, raising a hand to summon his aide.

“Yes, sir. What do you need?”

“Get in touch with Phillips, Xander, and Theodore. You go with them as well. Find Eric and bring him back, no matter what,” Ernest instructed.
