    Just then, the doors to the emergency room swung open, and the doctor appeared, pausing their intense discussion. Both Eric and Ernest stepped forward eagerly.


    “Doctor, what’s the situation with my grandmother?”


    “She’s stable now, thankfully. It was just a bout of intense emotions. She was brought in on time, so there’s no serious concern. She’s weak, though, and needs to rest.” He offered a final word of caution. “She has a heart condition. Emotional stress could easily push her beyond her limit.”


    “Thank you for letting us know. Is it okay if we see her now?”


    “Of course.”


    Soon after, N was moved to a regr hospital room, with Ernest and Eric positioned at her bedside.


    “Grandma…”


    “Leave now!”


    Before Ernest could even finish, N clenched her eyes shut, her face contorted with displeasure. Her intent was unmistakable. Ernest’s expression clouded. “Grandma…”


    “Ernest,” Eric interjected, hisplexion draining of color. He shook his head gently, looking towards N and then back at Ernest. His voice was a whisper. “Please, let her rest. I’ll go now.”


    With those words, Eric turned sharply and exited the room.


    “Grandma, you…” Ernest exhaled, a mix of sympathy for Eric and concern for upsetting N further clouding his thoughts. “Grandma, try to rest. I’ll stay by your side.”


    “I said leave me alone!” N’s eyes snapped open, shooting a stern look at Ernest. “You too, get out!”


    “Grandma…”


    “Leave! Do you not understand?”

    Caught off guard by her fury, Ernest stood frozen for a second. Then he quickly nodded and stepped back. “Alright, I’ll go. Please don’t stress yourself…”


    As he stepped out, he saw anger seething in Eric’s eyes.


    Eric’s rage was unmistakable. His eyes burned with barely contained wrath as he turned on his heel.


    “Eric!” Ernest reached out, grasping his arm. “What are you nning now?” He voiced his concern. “You’re not thinking of confronting Ferris, are you?”


    Eric didn’t reply, but his silence was enough of an answer for Ernest.


    “What’s the use in facing him? What can it possibly achieve?”


    “It might achieve nothing!” Eric’s voice crackled with fury, his resentful disposition making it impossible to just walk away. “But I need to show him that I’m done with the Scott family, even if it means beating some sense into him.”


    He wrenched his arm away from Ernest and bolted.


    “Eric!” Seeing that Eric was beyond reach, Ernest turned sharply to Quentin. “Get Phillips and the bodyguards to tail him, now!”


    “Understood, sir.”


    At the gates of Olisvale Bay.


    Eric stormed up to Ferris’ grand residence, seething with the intent to confront him. However, upon arrival, he was met with unexpected news.
