Chapter 315

    ?Chapter 315:

After she was seated, Denver addressed N, saying, “I’ll drive separately. You head on, and I’ll follow.”

N’s expression softened with a tinge of regret. “I didn’t know… Do you want Hadley to ride with you?”

“It’s fine.” Denver assured her with a wave, adding cheerfully, “See you shortly!”

    “See you in a bit.”

The warm farewell shared by Denver and Hadley caught N’s attentive gaze. She mused quietly about Hadley finding someone who genuinely seemed to care for her.

That evening, Hadley and Denver arrived at the Flynn Mansion to join N for dinner. N would have been dining alone otherwise, as Eric was often absent due to workmitments, and Linda was still at the hospital with Ernest.

After dinner, they gathered in the living room, enjoying coffee and fresh fruit.

With a gentle tone, N initiated a conversation with Denver. “Denver.”

Denver straightened in his seat, anticipating a serious discussion beyond casual dinner talk. “Yes, Mrs. Flynn?”

“Just rx,” N responded with a light chuckle, noticing his stiffness. “There’s no need for formality here. I’d like to have a little chat.”

“Of course,” Denver replied, still visibly tense.

N’s expression turned more earnest. “Now that you and Hadley are seeing each other, there are a few things we need to discuss.” N took Hadley’s hand with a gentle grasp. “Hadley has always been dear to me, almost like my own granddaughter, yet she’s faced many challenges over the years.”

Silence did not mean ignorance. N was deeply aware of Hadley’s struggles.

While N cared deeply for Hadley, her priorities had often leaned toward her own family.

“N.” The surprise was evident in Hadley’s expression as she heard N’s words.

N’s tone conveyed deep emotion. “I’m truly sorry for the hardships you’ve faced. Now, with Denver by your side…” N then shifted her focus to Denver.

“It’s essential that you treat Hadley well and ensure she is never harmed.”

Denver sat up straight, his expression serious. “Absolutely, Mrs. Flynn. You have my word.”

N exhaled softly, a mix of resolve and concern in her voice.

“There might be some challenges with your rtionship,” she cautioned, hinting at possible disapproval from Denver’s family about Hadley’s past.

“However, don’t fret.” N reassured them. “I’m here for you. Denver, reach out if you need support, and I’ll assist however I can.”

    “Mrs. Flynn…”

Denver paused, since he couldn’t just admit their rtionship wasn’t real.

But even if it was, he was confident he could handle his family’s disapproval.

Despite this, he appreciated N’s support. “Thank you, Mrs. Flynn.”

“There’s no need for formalities,” N replied warmly. “It is the right thing to do, and I just want Hadley to be happy.”

Their conversation was interrupted by a noise at the entrance.

N looked towards the door, puzzled. “Who could it be at this time?”
