?Chapter 126:
With that, he ended the call.
He then directed Phillips, “Give the driver the night off. I’m driving myself.”
“Very well, Mr. Flynn.”
Phillips suspected Eric was intent on confronting Hadley himself.
As predicted, Eric snatched his car keys, descended via the elevator to the underground garage, entered his car, and headed directly to West Twelfth Alley.
Much like before, his car halted at the alley’s entrance, forcing Eric to proceed on foot.
Guided by the address from Phillips, he eventually stood before Hadley’s building.
“Is this the ce?”
Disbelief washed over him as he surveyed the dpidated apartment building, its dark hallways reeking of decay.
Could anyone actually live here?
At the doorstep, Eric paused, his irritation mounting, and decided to knock.
Despite his persistent knocking, there was no response.
Left with no alternative, Eric attempted to call her. Again, there was no answer.
Eric’s frustration boiled over. “Hadley, you owe me a thorough exnation!”
At Gnt, Marshall and Barrie faced each other, Denver sitting alongside.
“Eric really ditched us today?”
“He’s probably wary of our teasing,” Barrie spected.
Denver, puzzled, inquired, “Why would Eric fear our jests?”
“Really, you haven’t noticed?” Marshall replied, eyeing his cousin. “Lately, Eric’s been quite taken with a certaindy.”
“Oh?” Interest sparked in Denver. “Who might that be?”
“There, take a look.” Barrie gestured towards the stage. “It’s Miss S right over there.”

Denver’s face hardened momentarily.
Luckily, they didn’t notice his brief scowl due to the dim lighting. Denver then cracked a smile. “Eric’s had someone special already, hasn’t he?”
“What’s the point?” Marshall scoffed. “Given their status, it’s a long shot.”
Barrie exhaled deeply. Ultimately, they felt a sense of contentment for Eric. At longst, he had found someone captivating, moving past his previous fixation on Linda.
Barrie exchanged looks with Marshall. “Since he’s not here, we ought to watch out for his girl on his behalf, right?”
“Absolutely,” Marshall agreed, readying his phone. “Let’s send something her way. Make sure they know it’sing from Mr. Flynn.”
Behind the scenes.
“Hadley!”
Grinning widely, Lennon made his way over to Hadley once more. He was disappointed by Eric’s absence tonight. Yet, despite Eric’s absence, an unexpectedte-night treat arrived.
“What’s going on, Mr. Lewis?” Hadley inquired, rising to greet him with a grin.
“Just a second…”
