Chapter 125

    ?Chapter 125:

Hadley hesitated, puzzled by his question. “What exactly do you mean, Mr. Faulkner?”

“Forget it,” Adonis dismissed the topic with a smile.

Though pleased by her appearance, Adonis recognized it was premature for any definite decision. He first needed to assess her capability in the stand-in role.

Tapping the papers in his hand, he announced, “You’re in.”

Surprised, Hadley’s face lit up with a grateful smile. “Thank you so much!”

“Proceed,” Adonis said. “Elvin will fill you in on the details.”

“Thank you for the opportunity, Mr. Faulkner.”

After Hadley had left, Adonis instructed Elvin, retrieving her file. “Keep her at the top of the list from now on.”

    “Do you mean to say—”

“Just ensure she’s here when we need her,” Adonis confirmed with a nod.

“Understood!” Elvin replied enthusiastically. “Hadley will be ecstatic!”

Adonis, recalling her striking appearance, remarked, “She’s quite the looker and unbelievably photogenic.”

The auditioning women were all professional dancers, many exceptionally skilled.

Yet, filmmaking was more than just skills and techniques.

It demanded a certain charisma, which Hadley naturally possessed.

“She’s been given the chance; now let’s see if she can capitalize on it,” Adonis reflected.

“I’ll keep an eye on her, since it was I who rmended her,” Elvin assured.

He then delivered the news to Hadley.

“You must seize this opportunity!” He cautioned her with measured words. “Seed here, and Mr. Faulkner will surely feature you further.”

“Thank you so much, Mr. Webster.”

    “My pleasure.”

With a heart full of hope, Hadley left the studio, her steps buoyant with anticipation, the excitement carrying her into the evening at Gnt.

After an exhaustive day, Phillips entered with pressing news for Eric. “Sir, it appears Hadley actually resides on West Twelfth Alley.”

    Eric’s expression turned grim instantly.

He chuckled briefly, finding some humor in the revtion.

“The exact address has been sent to your phone,” Phillips mentioned, avoiding Eric’s intimidating stare.

    “Excellent.”

Eric was checking his phone when it suddenly rang.

    “Hello?”

“Hey, bro,” Marshall’s voice teased. “Are you headed to Gnt tonight?”

    “I’m not going.”

Eric felt out of sorts tonight, with more pressing matters at hand.

“Why not? I heard you’ve been—”

Interrupting Marshall’s rambling, Eric snapped, “I’m busy. That’s all there is to it.”
