With his body encased in ster from the neck down, Connor was in too much pain to move. Exhausted from arguing with his friends and now with her, he closed his eyes and grit his teeth. "Do whatever you want."
Leonie looked at him and sniffed disdainfully. "Still so arrogant even when you''re crippled. You deserved it."
His eyes shot open. "Who are you calling crippled? I''ll recover..."
Leonie spotted a peeled apple on the nightstand, picked it up, and started munching on it loudly. "Who knows about that? The doctor said you were seriously injured. Broken ribs, broken leg... tsk, tsk...”
Connor''s eyes were bloodshot. "Leonie, I dare you to say that again."
She just made a face at him. Just then, two orderlies entered the room.
"Time to empty the catheter bag..."
Leonie froze.
Connor went rigid.
As one of the orderlies began to lift the nket, Leonie stared, her curiosity piqued.
Connor''s face turned crimson. "You! Get out!"
While one orderly took the bag away, the other nced at Leonie. "His girlfriend? You can''t leave. We''ll need your help turning him over in a bit.”
Connor summoned all his strength. "Can you please just get this woman out of here? I''m paying you..." Good heavens, they were about to expose himpletely, and in front of her, no less.
"We''re busy, and we''re short-staffed," the orderly said dismissively. "What''s there to worry about with your girlfriend? It''s not like she hasn''t seen it before. You young people are wilder than us old folks, so why be shy about this?"
With that, he pulled back the covers. Leonie''s heart pounded as she craned her neck to get a better view around the orderly''s back.
Fortunately, the other orderly returned just then, and together they managed to change Connor''s clothes, turn him over, and give him a partial massage.
Leonie watched from the side, catching glimpses here and there making no move to leave it took them about twentymutes before they finally tucked him back into
bed.
IMS
Connor''s face was dark the entire time. Didn''t this woman have any shame?
Couldn''t she have looked away?
After the orderlies left, Leonie tapped her lip thoughtfully.
Connor shot her a cold re. "Like what you see?"
Leonie was momentarily speechless. "Um..."
"What?" Connor''s face was already a thundercloud. If he could move, he would have thrown her out the window.
Leonie''s mouth fell open wide enough to swallow an egg. "Well... for all your bluster,
I was expecting something a bit more... substantial."
Connor almost spat blood. "That''s its natural state! What, were you hoping for a demonstration?"
Leonie just pursed her lips. Connor swore that as soon as he recovered, he would make her pay for this.
The orderlies were gone. Leonie nced at her watch. "Why aren''t your friends back yet? I need to go to get home. Those guys really had some nerve, leaving her alone with him like this.
"I have orderlies. I won''t die," Connor grumbled, secretly wishing she would just leave. Her presence was giving him a massive headache. She was shameless gift, staring thim While he was being changed. He had never been so mortified in his life. At least his idiot friends hadn''t been there to witness it; they would have teased him about it for a year.
Leonie''s eyes darted around. “How about I call your uncle?”
A vein pulsed on Connor''s forehead. "Leonie, can you please just give me some peace?"
She stuck her tongue out and started taking pictures of the bed with her phone.
Connor''s temple throbbed. "What are you doing now?" He looked like a mummy. What could she possibly be taking pictures of?
