    347.Chapter 347

    347.Chapter 347

Benedict''s eyes were filled with fear and desperation, tinged with a faint glimmer of hope. But this time, Eliza didn''t look back, not even once. Her figure finally vanished at the end of the long, stone corridor.

"Eliza!" Benedict''s eyes lit up when he saw her disappear. Tears streamed down his face, his voice trembling as he whispered, "Don''t leave me behind."

After leaving the Imperial Pce, Eliza suddenly stopped and tilted her head to gaze at the sky. It took her a while topose herself before she turned to Tina, apanying her all this time in silence.

Eliza forced a smile. "I''m fine now, Tina. Don''t worry about me."

Tina studied the strained smile on Eliza''s face, hesitated, but then spoke firmly, "Don''t let it get to you, Eliza. No matter what happens, I''ll always be here for you. No matter what you do, I''ll believe in you."

Eliza froze before realizing Tina was referring to the words she had said to Benedict earlier. A genuine smile broke through, far less forced than before. "Alright, I believe you. Thank you, Tina."

Momentster, Eliza returned to her carriage. As she stepped inside, she released her spiders, their tiny legs clicking as theybed through every shadowy corner of the carriage. Sure enough, they uncovered a pile of cursed insects.

Eliza disposed of the cursed insects with disdain, choosing not to feed them to her spiders.

After all, they were parasites. It would be a disaster if her spiders consumed them and the parasites somehow revived inside their bodies.

Although her pocket farm ensured she didn''t have to worry about such control methods, it was better to be cautious. There was no need to reveal her trump card right away. Perhaps the enemy was merely testing her capabilities for now.

As it turned out, Eliza''s instincts were spot on.

    In Sophie''s courtyard.

A man dressed in ck with his face concealed appeared. He stood by the fishpond. One hand held a fish food container, while the other asionally pinched a few pellets to scatter into the water, creating ripples as the fish darted to the surface.

Behind him, two simrly dressed figures stood, reporting to him.

"Boss, the pce operation failed. The snow lotus never made it to the king. It was intercepted halfway. Even the deep-cover agents we nted were exposed and executed on the spot."

The leader, still focused on feeding the fish, asked calmly, "What about the sorceress and her two pawns?"

"Prince Regent locked them up in the Ministry of Justice."

The leader smirked faintly, scattering more food into the pond. "The Ministry of Justice, huh? There''s no need to rush."

One of the subordinates hesitated before asking, "But why, Sir? Shouldn''t we get the sorceress out of there? If they convict her, she could be in real danger."

The leader chuckled coldly. "Prince Regent has no absolute authority. If he didn''t execute them on the spot but sent them to the Ministry of Justice, that could only mean hecked solid evidence. He can''t convict the sorceress or her pawns. At most, they''ll get bored in jail, but eventually, they''ll be out."

After addressing this matter, the leader shifted his focus. "What about the Holy Lady, Eliza?"

Another subordinate shook his head. "We haven''t received any feedback from the parasites we nted. I think she has discovered our methods and taken precautions."

"No more feedback?" This result elicited a reaction from the leader. He frowned slightly. "Even the eggs showed no

    response?"

"Yes, not a single one, Sir."

The leader narrowed his eyes, his tone carrying a hint of menace. "This Holy Lady... I think she''s not as simple as she seems. No wonder our top assassins fell at her hands

    Sessfully unlocked!

"Sir, perhaps today''s failure at the pce banquet is also tied to her, should we deal with the Holy Lady first?"

The leader raised a hand to stop him. "No need to rush. If my guess is correct,

she must have something capable of countering our parasites. Until we figure out her methods, we shouldn''t act recklessly."
