Chapter 338

Vespera did not say a word. She stared innocently at Dominic with widened eyes. After a moment, she leaned toward his lips and said softly, "Thank you..."

Within the next moment, Dominic pressed her onto the couch again.

Vespera and Dominic finally left the vi in the evening, and he was the one who drove back this time.

Feeling drained, Vespera slumped in the passenger seat. She felt as if Dominic had sucked all the energy out of her. She was so exhausted that she might fall asleep anytime.

"Vera, let''se here next week." Dominic smiled alluringly.

Vespera waved it off weakly. "No. Absolutely not."

She was only human, so she couldn''t keep putting up with that kind of torment endlessly. Although the sex was amazing, the human body had its limits.

"The main issue is that you usually don''t work out. Let''s go for a jog tonight." Vespera was speechless. Absolutely not! Even walking felt like a chore now. She ignored him and turned toward the car window. She shut her eyes and muttered. "I want to rest well tonight. I still have work tomorrow."

While muttering to herself, she tilted her head and fell asleep, so Dominic turned down the air conditioning.

Five minutester, he received a text and cast a quick nce. Without replying, he deleted the message right away.

Since Vespera was in a deep slumber, Dominic slowed down the car before parking it at the roadside. He reached out to part the hair covering her face. He moved very gently as he was afraid of waking her up.

Vespera shifted around in her sleep. From tilting her head, she moved into lying on her back. In a daze, she could feel Dominic kissing her.

Oh, please! They''d already spent the whole day kissing each other. Her mouth was swollen, and her tongue felt numb. Why wouldn''t he let her off for once?

Once they arrived at the condominium, Vespera decisively pressed for the 13th floor and the penthouse apartment.

Dominic raised an eyebrow. "You''re not letting me drop by your ce?"

Vespera gazed at him gently. "Of course not. You have a video call at night. You should focus on your work."

Dominic frowned slightly. "Since I''m working, don''t you have to work overtime as well? Come to my study room tonight."

Vespera was at a loss for words.

    ет

Once the elevator reached the 13th floor, she stepped out and ever forbade Dominic from following her. "I''ll drop byter. Do go up first."

Dominic stood at the elevator and smiled mockingly at her. "Ms. Gildon, I don''t think you''d dare to drop by."

Vespera shot him a fake smile. Once the elevator doors closed, she dashed off to her ce.

Head upstairs to the penthouse apartment? Dominic might want another round, but not her she needed a break.

Vespera slowly sat down while clutching her lower back-it was really sore.

After enjoying a simple meal, she

went to take a bath. Halfway

    through, her phone emitted a

notification. She tapped on it and

    realized it was a WhatsApp

    message from an unknown number.

    "My name is Nancy Acosta."

Vespera suddenly sat up in the water.

    Nancy!

ording to the rumors, Nancy was Dominic''s ex whom he had a love-hate rtionship. Many imed that she was the reason he made his first stop in Seloria.

    Although Vespera had no idea

    whether the rumor was true,

Dominic was definitely very cold and

ruthless toward Nancy. She had also

seen with her own eyes how Nancy stubbornly clung to him.

After what happenedst time, Vespera had almost forgotten about Nancy. Why

    did she message her?

Vespera had a terrible gut feeling. Not long after, she received another message from Nancy. "Hello, Ms. Gildon."

Vespera responded, saying, "Hello, Ms. Acosta."

Nancy replied, "I''ll be back in Mandora next Wednesday."
