Drunk And Daring I Kissed A Tycoon! 152

Jordan knew he had made the correct guess. Dominic had a thing for this type of

    woman.

A man like him, who thought he was better than everyone else, would usually despise beautiful women who were vulgar. Instead, he would have preferred the helpless and innocent

    ones.

That was the ultimate card Jordan had meticulously nned to y.

"Bring Dahlia in," he instructed Serena.

She stepped outside to carry out his order. A momentter, she returned with a slender

    woman in tow.

Dahlia Meadows wore avender sundress, her skin as pale as snow. Her hair, long and thick, cascaded down her back. Her youthful face with a hint of baby fat gave herplexion a

    delicate and natural touch.

Her bright eyes shimmered with innocence. As she slowly shifted her gaze to Dominic, she resembled a startled fawn in the woods.

The four "elite members" stared at her like they wanted to swallow her whole. Meanwhile, the women who apanied them either looked cold, envious, or outright dismissive of Dahlia.

Observing the scene, Vespera fell into deep thought. She had noticed Dominic looking outside earlier, but she hadn''t been sure when he set his eyes on Dahlia.

For a moment, she wondered if he liked Dahlia but quickly dismissed the thought. This was obviously part of Jordan''s scheme. Dominic would have seen right through it.

Besides, his sexuality remains a mystery.

''Dahlia, this is Mr. Reid," Jordan said with a smile.

Dahlia looked flustered and wrung her hands nervously,

"It''s a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Reid. My name is Dahlia Meadows-Dahlia, like the flower, and Meadows, like a valley full of them," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

For most people, a clumsy introduction would have left a bad impression. But with Dahlia''s innocent look, her awkwardness had only made her seem more endearing to men.

Dominic remained silent and smiled faintly.

"Go ahead and pick a seat, Dahlia," Jordan instructed casually.

    "A-Alright," she stammered.

She lifted her head slightly and scanned the room. The moment her eyes met those of the

elite members", her nervousness shifted into pure terror.

Her hands turned red from clenching them together. Her breathing grew erratic, and she was on the verge of tears.

The men roared in amusement and immediately started teasing her.

"Dahlia, won''t youe sit by me?" one of them asked. "You were avoiding me all night yesterday. I was really hurt."

"Don''t listen to him. He wasn''t sad at allst night-he had plenty of fun. I was the one suffering. I couldn''t sleep because I kept thinking about you," another added.

"Oh! These bad, bad men. Don''t be afraid,e to Papa. I''ll protect you," the third one said suggestively.

They began coaxing her over, even standing up and reaching for her arms. Dahlia was utterly terrified and darted behind Serena. Her mind raced as she desperately searched for a way out.

    she de

She fixed a desperate gaze on Dominic, silently pleading for help. To her, he was the only good person there.

Vespera was speechless at the way they were acting. Sost night hadn''t just been a gathering of fun activities-they had even arranged this show for Dominic. Everything had been carefully nned, from Dahlia''s appearance and demeanor to everyst detail of the setup. It had been executed with precision. What infuriated Vespera most was how Dahlia just had to choose a seat among the men when there were plenty of other seats avable. It wasn''t as if Jordan had put nails on the other

    chairs.

But more than anything, she was dumbfounded by their assumption that Dominic was kind. He was undeniably good-looking, but that had nothing to do with his personality.

On second thought, it had made sense why Dahlia sought out the most handsome man in the room to be her rescuer. It was only natural.

Vespera studied her closely, noting the unwavering determination in her eyes. “Come on, don scare her anymore," Serena said, trying to shield Dahlia. Then, she whispered, "Why don''t you hurry and pick a seat? If you don''t, they might..." Her voice trailed off, and she gave Dahlia a look that urged her to take action.

Dahlia swallowed her fear and stepped toward Dominic. "May I sit with you?" she asked helplessly.

Only then did she realize he was seated on a single-seater. She hesitated but inched closer, silently expecting him to help her out,

    "I guess you could..."

Dominic''s voice trailed off. He paused for a moment. "Sit on the floor," he said kindly.
