Chapter 1501

Simone let out a bored yawn and walked over to the window, breathing in the fresh

    air.

It was already evening, and the setting sun had painted the horizon in shades of gold and crimson, a truly beautiful sight.

Watching this, Simone was hit with a weird sense of déjà vu. It felt like she''d seen it all before.

The buzzing conversation by her ear, discussing how to get revenge on Ste Cameron, wentpletely unnoticed. Simone didn''t hear a single word.

She stared thoughtfully at the view before her.

Suddenly, her eyes widened. She finally remembered.

Wasn''t this scene from one of Summer''s paintings?

Not long ago, when she had gone to see Leonard Lerman, she had seen that very painting.

Simone was so certain because of the details in the scene.

It went beyond just looking simr. It was a perfect copy. The number, the spacing, the types of trees, the style of the benches, theyout of the grass-everything was exactly the same. Not a single detail was off.

Could it be that Summer had also been a patient here?

Thinking that this person was Leonard''s recent online me, Simone took a picture of the sunset and sent it to him.

Online rtionships were unreliable. What if the person was a man, or an old woman?

It was better for Leonard to find out the truth about his online girlfriend sooner rather thanter, so he could finally get over Summer.

"Leonard, look at this picture. Isn''t this the scene from that painting in your study?"

A few minutester, Leonard replied. "Send me your location."

Just as she expected, all of Leonard''s attention was now focused on Summer. Simone couldn''t tell if this was a good thing or a bad thing.

After sending the location, Simone suddenly realized that by giving Leonard her location, she was inadvertently sending him to see Aurora Williams.

She quickly sent another message telling Leonard that Aurora was in the hospital.

Leonard only replied with a curt "Okay" and then went silent. When Simone tuned back into the room, Aurora was speaking.

"It wasn''t necessarily Ste. It could have been someone else." Because of the earlier p, Queenie Burton despised Ste.

She said coldly, "If not Ste, I can''t

    thing else who hates you

think and wants you to stay

    Lois

    away from Joshua Gardner."

Aurora was silent for a moment before saying, "Queenie, don''t make usations without proof."

    Sometimes, Simone really had to

    admire

    with

    ora. She could be burning

hatred on the inside, but she was a master of restraint.

    Sherman Burton suggested, "Since

Ste could pull such a dirty trie

    we

c?n give her a taste of her owne medicine. Hire a few guys to rough her up a bit."

Sellers Burton had no interest in solving problems with violence.

"Joshua is with Ste all the time. You''ll never find an opportunity."

Just as he spoke, the door to the hospital room was suddenly pushed open.

    Leonard strode in.

Everyone froze when they saw who it was.

Queenie shot Aurora an "I-told-you-so" look.

Aurora''s expression softened slightly, and she was about to speak when she heard Leonard ask, "Where is it?"

Simone hadn''t expected Leonard to actuallye, and so quickly at that.

    Leonard walked to the window.

    "Leonard, over here."

Leonard walked over and looked out the window.

The familiar sunset scenery filled his vision.

Although the angle was slightly different, the view was undeniably the same.

Leonard''s pupils constricted. For some inexplicable reason, his thoughts immediately turned to Ste.

Back then, Joshua had been a patient in this very hospital. And Ste... she used to paint by the window.
