Many parents had run themselves ragged, desperately seeking justice and trying to bring him to court. But everyone in Solmaris-top to bottom-had already been bought off by him.
He grew furious when those parents showed up at his door causing trouble, seeing them as nothing but an obstacle to his own life. One day, he beat a man to death in a fit of rage. As if that wasn''t enough, when someone tried to stop his car and demand an exnation, he simply ran them over.
Abby clenched her fists as she listened, her knuckles turning white. "God, how does a powerhouse country like Solmaris let monsters like this walk free?"
Joshua shrugged. "That''s capitalism for you-profits above all else. This oil tycoon brings in so much revenue for Solmaris every year; the government''s terrified of crossing him. They practically bow and scrape to his entire family."
Abby''s voice shook with anger. "It''s sick. No wonder people like the Williams family and the Lerman family thrive here. This ce is a yground for the worst of the worst."
Joshua''s lips curved into a sly, enigmatic smile. "Want to see them turn on each other?"
Abby''s eyes lit up. "Absolutely! People like him deserve to rot. If we don''t take these monsters down, humanity owes itself an apology. And if we could seize whatever he uses tomit his crimes, that''d be even better!"
Joshua turned his head, ncing at Ste. “Star, what do you think?"
Ste nodded. "Someone like that? Do whatever you want. If anything happens, I''ll take the heat."
With Ste''s approval, Joshua mmed his foot on the gas.
Meanwhile, the live chat was exploding with excitement.
"I know exactly who Joshua''s talking about-he even made international headlines! I can''t believe he''s still alive."
"Joshua, take down these scumbags! We''re all behind you!"
"Abby said earlier there''s a bonus every time Joshua wrecks one of their cars. Let''s send Abby some gifts-support Joshua in punishing these monsters!"
"Joshua is a total legend!"
"Hey, streamer-I know another spoiled Solmaris brat, pure evil. License te XXXX. He''s out drunk driving right now, racing near where you are. If you can take him @own, I''ll send ten super gifts!"
"I know who you mean he''s the son of a finance mogul. Honestly, he might be
even worse than the oil guy."
"Joshua, hurry! Whatever you need, we''ll chip in."
"Haha, Solmaris is getting turned upside down tonight!"
Thatst message quickly shot to the top, spammed by dozens of excited viewers.
Abby spotted it and read it aloud to Joshua.
He nodded slightly. "It''s true."
Abby muted the stream, curiosity in her voice. "Joshua, I''ve been dying to ask- how do you know all this? You even remember people''s license tes?"
Joshua didn''t hesitate. "A couple of days ago Neville sent Star a dossier with names to watch out for. Since I''m the bodyguard, it''s my job to memorize dangerous individuals. So, I did."
Ste immediately remembered. Neville had called while Joshua was with her, and he''d asked if he could look at the files first. There was nothing ssified in them, so she''d agreed.
Abby''s face cleared with understanding. "Oh, so when you were upte these past few nights, you were memorizing that stuff? Joshua, you really go the extra mile."
A pang of guilt flickered through Ste''s heart. She''d been busy sightseeing with Foreman, barely ncing at the dossier. Yet Joshua had stayed upte and gone through the entire thing.
Joshua shook his head. "Those files? Just looked them over in my spare time. It doesn''t take all night to memorize a few names."
Abby blinked, surprised. "Then what were you doing up sote?"
Joshua''s eyes darkened, a hint of steel in his voice. "Gathering evidence, of course. Didn''t I say? I''m going to find proof that Leonard kidnapped Star."
